Diagram and Features

The MPOW BH129B features the following:

  • 1. Power ON/OFF Switch: A slider switch for powering the device on and off.
  • 2. Audio Output Port: A 3.5mm jack for connecting to speakers, headphones, or car stereos.
  • 3. Micro USB Charging Port: Located at the bottom for charging the internal battery.
  • 4. Microphone: Integrated for hands-free calls.
  • 5. Volume Down / Previous Song Button: Short press to decrease volume, long press (hold) to go to the previous track.
  • 6. Volume Up / Next Song Button: Short press to increase volume, long press (hold) to go to the next track.
  • 7. Indicator Light: Provides visual feedback on connection status and battery level.
  • 8. Play/Pause/Answer/Hang Up Button: A multi-function button for music playback and call management.

Power ON/OFF

Power On

Slide the Power ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The indicator light will briefly show red for 1 second, then flash red and blue alternately, indicating it is ready for pairing.

Power Off

Slide the Power ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position. The device will automatically shut down after the red indicator light stays on for 1 second.

Bluetooth Connection

The MPOW BH129B allows wireless audio streaming from Bluetooth-enabled devices.

Pairing Mode

Upon powering on, the device automatically enters pairing mode (red and blue lights flash alternately). If it does not enter pairing mode, press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶️) for approximately 8 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue simultaneously for 1 second.

Connecting to One Mobile Phone

On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select "BH129" from the list. If prompted for a passcode, enter "0000". Once connected, the indicator light will flash blue intermittently.

Connecting to Two Mobile Phones

  1. Connect the first mobile device to the BH129 and then turn off the BH129.
  2. Turn on the second mobile device and connect it to the BH129.
  3. Turn on the first mobile device again; it should automatically reconnect to the BH129.

Clear Bluetooth Pairing List

To remove all previously paired devices, ensure the BH129B is powered on. Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶️) for about 8 seconds. The indicator light will flash red and blue simultaneously for 1 second, confirming the list has been cleared.

Music Playback Control

Control your music playback using the buttons on the MPOW BH129B:

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️).
  • Next Song: Short press the Volume Up button (➕).
  • Previous Song: Short press the Volume Down button (➖).
  • Volume Up: Press and hold the Volume Up button (➕).
  • Volume Down: Press and hold the Volume Down button (➖).

Call Management

Answer, Hang Up, Redial, and Reject Calls

  • Answer/End Call: Short press the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️).
  • Redial Last Number: Double-click the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️).
  • Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️) for 1 second.

Voice Assistant Activation

Activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant) by pressing and holding the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️) for 1 second.

Switch Audio Source During a Call

During an incoming call or an active call, you can select the audio output device: your phone's speaker, your phone's earpiece, or the car stereo system.

Handling New Calls During an Existing Call

  • Hang up current call and answer new call: Short press the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️).
  • Hold current call and answer new call: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶️/⏸️) for 1 second.

Low Battery Alarm & Charging

Low Battery Indicator

When the battery level is critically low, the indicator light will flash red 15 times quickly, followed by a slow red flash. The device will automatically shut down if the battery voltage drops below 3V.

Charging the Device

Connect the MPOW BH129B to a USB power source using the provided Micro USB cable. The indicator light will remain solid red while charging and will turn off once charging is complete. The charging output is 5V ===.

Dormancy Mode and Important Notes

Automatic Sleep Mode

The device enters sleep mode automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity or disconnection. To wake it up, short press the Play/Pause button (▶️) or toggle the power switch. If the Bluetooth connection is lost, it enters sleep mode after 20 minutes.

Important Notes

  • The normal charging voltage range for this product is between 4.5V and 6.5V. Avoid using charging devices outside this range to prevent potential damage.
  • To ensure optimal performance and battery health, charge the receiver promptly when the battery is low or if it will not be used for an extended period.
  • For the best wireless Bluetooth music transmission, position the MPOW BH129B and your connected device in an open area, free from physical obstructions or environmental interference that could disrupt the signal.
