Safety Instructions for Accessories
WARNING!
Normal Usage
Use the product only as described. Any other use is considered improper and may lead to accidents, serious injury, or damage to the bicycle. The manufacturer or dealer is not liable for damages from improper use.
- Follow the bicycle manufacturer's instructions before attaching and using the product.
Assembly
CUBE strongly recommends professional assembly by a dealer. Improper assembly can lead to serious falls.
- Do not use if the product is incomplete or shows damage, sharp edges, or burrs.
- Have the product and bicycle checked by your dealer.
- If unsure or lacking knowledge, have a specialist dealer install the product.
- When combining with other manufacturers' bikes, check their specifications and verify dimensional accuracy and compatibility.
- Use the crank only on a suitable e-bike.
- The cranks are designed for a maximum rider weight of 125 kg. Exceeding this may cause damage and lead to falls and serious injury.
- Ensure the crank does not collide with the bicycle frame or other components before use.
- Screw connections must be tightened correctly with a torque wrench. If inexperienced, have loose connections checked by a dealer.
Crank Arm Installation
[Diagram showing crank arm installation]
Instructions:
- If a crank is already mounted, remove it properly according to its instructions.
- Ensure splines on crank arms and axle are clean and greased with multipurpose grease.
- Mount the right crank arm on the right side and the left crank arm on the left side of the axle. Installation position is marked (L=Left / R=Right).
- Apply a medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker to the threads.
- Tighten the crank arm bolt clockwise with an M8 hex key to a minimum torque of 50 Nm.
Crank Arm Stop Inspection
[Diagram showing correct and incorrect crank arm seating]
- The crank arm must rest fully and evenly against the retaining ring.
- If the crank arm does not rest against the retaining ring (marked green), gradually increase the tightening torque up to a maximum of 60 Nm until correctly positioned.
- Important: If the correct position is not achieved at 60 Nm, the crank arm must be replaced.
Pedal Installation
Place the washer over the pedal hole before attaching the pedal. Observe the pedal manufacturer's installation instructions.
Operation
Accessories can significantly influence bicycle characteristics. If you notice any irregularities with the crank during use, stop immediately and consult a specialist dealer to prevent injury and damage.
Maintenance
Prevent malfunctions due to wear, material fatigue, or loose connections:
- Check all attached components for tightness and functionality before each use.
- Check the crank for tightness before each ride. If play is detected between the crank and axle, do not use and replace immediately. A loose fit can lead to serious damage and fall risk.
- Before each ride, check the crank arm bolt for correct seating and tightening with a torque wrench.
- Do not use if cracks, deformation, or color changes are noticed.
- Have the bicycle inspected immediately by a dealer if excessive wear, loose connections, deformation, cracks, or color changes are observed.

NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE! Improper handling of cleaning agents can damage the product.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, metal/nylon brushes, or sharp/metallic cleaning objects (knives, hard spatulas, etc.).
