1. Introduction
1.1. Lock structure
A diagram shows the smart door lock with the following labeled parts: Fingerprint Sensor, Front Panel, Keyhole, Battery Cover, Back Panel, Deadbolt Knob. Dimensions are indicated as 144mm height, 60mm width, 30mm depth, and 13mm thickness for the spindle area.

1.4. Initialization
To initialize the lock, long press the reset button on the back of the front panel for about 3 seconds. Then, input "000#". Initialization is successful when the buzzer beeps twice.
Tip: How to open the key cover?
Use a suction cup to attach to the key cover and pull gently for easier opening.
2. Installation
2.1. Confirm opening direction
Instructions and diagrams show how to set the lock for left or right opening doors. Key points include ensuring the spindle is horizontal and the deadbolt is pulled in. For right-opening doors, the PCB on the back panel may need the "L" or "R" position changed. The deadbolt knob is also shown.
Attention: Any improper setting may cause problems.
2.2. Installation Diagram
The installation process is detailed in 8 steps with diagrams:
- Step 1: Install Mortise.
- Step 2: Install Screws, Casing, and Water Rubber Plate. The structure should be installed upright, not flat.
- Step 3: Install Front Panel.
- Step 4: Fixed Front Panel.
- Step 5: Connecting Front and Back Panels.
- Step 6: Fixed Back Panel.
- Step 7: Install Batteries.
- Step 8: Cover the battery box.
3. Operation
3.1. Registration
The TTLock software (iOS and Android versions) can be downloaded from respective app stores (App Store, Google Play, Yingyongbao, Baidu, Ali, 360, Huawei, and Xiaomi).
3.2. Connect lock to the phone
- Scan the QR code or search for "TTLock" in the app store to download the app.
- Register a new account (phone number or email) or log in with an existing account.
- Touch the lock screen to light it up, then click "+ Add Lock".
- The nearby lock will appear on the phone screen; click "+".
- Re-name the lock.
- The lock is added successfully.
TTLock users can register using a mobile phone or email, supporting over 200 countries. A verification code is sent to the provided contact for successful registration.
3.3. Add locks
TTLock supports various lock devices. To add a lock, enter the add mode by touching the lock keyboard. The default password is "123456" if the lock has not been added via the phone previously.

3.4. User Management
3.4.1. Bluetooth management
Ensure Bluetooth communication is stable. After connecting the phone to the lock, click the unlock icon [unlock-icon] to unlock (the phone must be within 5 meters of the door lock).
3.4.2. Setting Passcode
Passcodes offer another unlocking method. After entering the passcode on the keypad, press the unlock button. Passcodes can be permanent, time-limited, single-use, clear, cycle, or custom. Passcodes can be shared via WeChat, SMS, Email, Messenger, or WhatsApp.

3.4.3. Send e-Key
To send an e-Key, navigate to the "Send eKey" section in the app. The recipient needs the TTLock app and an account. Select the e-Key format (Timed, Permanent, One-time, Recurring), enter the recipient's account, set a name and effective time. Options include allowing remote unlocking and setting the recipient as an administrator or not. Sending the e-Key grants the recipient Bluetooth unlock permission.

3.4.4. Add card
IC cards can be used for unlocking. Cards must be added via the app near the lock. The validity period for IC cards can be set as permanent or time-limited.

3.4.5. Add fingerprint
Fingerprints must be added via the app near the lock. The fingerprint expiration data can be set as permanent or time-limited, and can be modified later.

3.4.6. e-Key management
In the eKeys section, managers can delete, reset, send, and adjust eKeys, as well as search lock records.
3.4.7. Passcode management
The password management module allows viewing and managing all generated passcodes, including changing, deleting, resetting, and viewing unlock records.
3.4.8. Unlock records
The "Records" section allows users to query unlock history. App screenshots show a list of unlock records with timestamps, types (Timed, One-time, Permanent), and success/failure status.
3.5. Gateway management (Optional)
The TT lock connects via Bluetooth, making it network-independent. A gateway acts as a bridge to home Wi-Fi networks, enabling remote viewing, clock calibration, unlock record reading, and remote password deletion/modification.
3.5.1. Add Gateway
Gateway pairing involves activating the app, pressing a button (often represented by "="), selecting "Gateway", plugging in the gateway, and adding it via the app by selecting the Wi-Fi network and entering the password. Light status indicators show pairing readiness (alternating red/blue), working mode (blue), and network failure (red).
3.6. Electronic Locking Button
Long-pressing the electronic anti-lock button prompts "Operation successful", indicating the door is locked. It can only be unlocked by the administrator app [info-icon] or by turning the indoor knob. Other unlocking methods are invalid.
4. FAQ
- 1) How to read operation records?
- In the Records section of the main interface.
- 2) Why can't I unlock it after opening the passage mode?
- You need to perform an unlock verification using any method for the passage mode to take effect.
- 3) What is the purpose of Auto Lock?
- You can set how long the lock remains locked after unlocking.
- 4) After installation, the touch sensing keyboard/screen does not respond.
- a) Check if the battery electrodes are installed correctly (positive/negative) and if the battery has enough power. b) Remove the back panel to check connections. c) Remove the lock, check for squeezed wires, and re-wire if necessary.
- 5) Unable to register fingerprint.
- Check fingers for dirt or wear. Clean the fingerprint sensor on the lock for dirt and oil stains. Ensure the fingerprint sensor is working properly by testing it.
- 6) What is the reason why the smart lock consumes fast power?
- a) Large standby power consumption. b) Short circuit.
- 7) There is no response to pressing the handle on the outside of the door, but it unlocks normally from the inside, and verification and motor are normal.
- It may be that the triangle direction on the clutch was set incorrectly; please check and correct it.
- 8) How many times will the passcode be locked? How long is it locked?
- If the wrong password is entered more than 5 times in a row, the keyboard will be locked for 5 minutes. Other ways to open the door are still available.
