PG9938 Enrollment

IQ Panel 4 v4.5.2 and higher

Introduction

The PG9938 remote panic button can be enrolled into an IQ4 panel as an audible or silent medical, or audible or silent intrusion alarm activation for the system.

Enrollment Process

Press and hold the [button] of the fob until the keyfob's LED flashes amber.

Enrollment Steps:

Tech Tip: If the LED flashes only once after holding for 10 seconds, or if it flashes multiple times, the keyfob may have been enrolled into another panel. Release the [button] and press and hold again.

Programming

Navigate to: Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Auto Learn Sensor.

Press and hold the [button] of the fob until the keyfob's LED flashes amber.

The IQ Panel will display a screen for adding a new sensor. Program the 'Sensor Group', 'Sensor Name', and 'Voice Prompts' as needed. Select "ADD NEW".

Recommended Sensor Groups:

For zone status annunciation, set 'Voice Prompts' to OFF.

Important Note: Do not program the PG9938 as a Fixed sensor group. Using a Fixed sensor group may cause the zone to enter supervisory trouble after the supervision window expires (default 24 hours). When supervisory trouble occurs, the History tab (Settings > Status) will show "Failure" with a time and date stamp. The device tray on the arming page will display a "?" for the zone.

Button Operations

The PG9938 has one primary button for panic activation.

[Panic button]: Press and hold for 3+ seconds for panic alarm activation.

The device features a single button, labeled with '1', which is used for panic functions.
