Enrollment Process

  1. Step 1: Power Up

To begin, power up the IQ Hardwire PowerG module. First, plug in the battery, and then connect the AC transformer.

  2. Step 2: Default the Module

Default the IQ Hardwire PowerG module by pressing and holding the Enrollment Button for approximately 10 seconds. Continue holding until the Status LED flashes RED.

Tech Tip: Hold the Enrollment Button past the initial ORANGE LED state until the Status LED turns RED.
  3. Step 3: Auto Learn Sensor

Access the 'Auto Learn Sensor' feature within the IQPanel 4 programming by navigating to: Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Auto Learn Sensor.

Once in the 'Auto Learn Sensor' screen, press the Enrollment Button on the IQ Hardwire PowerG module for approximately 3 seconds. Immediately release the Enrollment Button once the Status LED flashes ORANGE. DO NOT HOLD.

Visual Description: Auto Learn Sensor Screens

The first screen shows an 'AUTO LEARN POWERG SENSOR' prompt: 'Sensor 460-6462 is requesting to be added to your list. Do you want to continue?' with 'CANCEL' and 'OK' buttons. A message at the bottom indicates: 'IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ENROLL SENSOR ON THIS PANEL SINCE THE HARDWARE NECESSARY IS NOT PRESENT.' The second screen displays the 'Sensor DL ID' (460, 6462) and other sensor details similar to the initial screen, with an 'ADD NEW' button.

After the IQ Hardwire PowerG module's Electronic Serial Number (ESN) populates, confirm the ESN, then click 'OK' and subsequently 'ADD NEW'.

Tech Tip: Change the Sensor Name as needed. Other programming options do not require modification.
  4. Step 4: Confirm Signal Strength

Confirm the signal strength of the IQ Hardwire PowerG module by pressing the Enrollment Button for 1 second. The Status LED will flash to indicate the signal strength:

    • 3 x GREEN flashes = Strong
    • 3 x ORANGE flashes = Medium
    • 3 x RED flashes = Poor
Tech Tip: Test the signal strength multiple times to confirm a stable signal. Consider adding a PG9920 repeater if needed for better signal strength.
  5. Step 5: Edit Zones

Each IQ Hardwire PowerG module will populate into 9 zone slots on the IQPanel 4. The first slot is assigned to the IQ Hardwire PowerG module itself, and each hardwired zone input (Input 1 - Input 8) is assigned to an independent zone slot. These zone slots will populate in sequential order, provided there are open zone slots in the prior zone list.

Visual Description: Zone List and Edit Sensor Screens

Two IQPanel 2+ screens display a list of enrolled sensors. Each entry includes 'NO', 'ID', 'SIGNAL SOURCE', 'TYPE', 'NAME', and 'GROUP'. Examples show 'Hardwire Translator' and 'Door/Window' types with corresponding 'Input X Zone Y' names and '10-Entry-Exit-Normal Delay' groups. The lists show zones 1 through 9. A note indicates 'Input 4 Zone 5 is in sequence, but off screen of the screen shots above.'

Another IQPanel 2+ screen shows the 'Edit Sensor' interface. Options include 'AUTO LEARN SENSOR', 'ADD SENSOR', 'EDIT SENSOR', 'DELETE SENSOR', 'SENSOR STATUS', 'SENSOR GROUP', 'PANEL MOTION SETTINGS', 'REMOVE ALL POWERG SENSORS', and 'POWERG OUTPUT RULES'.

A final screen shows detailed sensor editing fields: 'Sensor DL ID' (460, 6462), 'Hardwire Input' (1), 'Sensor Type' (Door/Window), 'Sensor Group' (10-Entry-Exit-Normal Delay), 'Input Mode' (End Of Line), 'Sensor Name' (Custom Description), 'Chime Type' (High Wire), 'Voice Prompts' (On), and 'Source' (PowerG). A 'SAVE' button is present.

Click on the EDIT icon (represented by a pencil symbol) and edit the zone information as needed. After making changes, click 'SAVE'.

  6. Step 6: Delete Unused Zones

Delete any unused zones as needed by navigating to: Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Delete Sensor.

    Visual Description: Delete Sensor Screen

An IQPanel 2+ screen shows a list of sensors with checkboxes next to each entry, allowing selection for deletion. The interface includes 'AUTO LEARN SENSOR', 'ADD SENSOR', 'EDIT SENSOR', 'DELETE SENSOR', and 'SENSOR STATUS' options. A 'DELETE' button is visible at the bottom.

Select the zones to be deleted using the checkboxes and then click 'DELETE'.

Restoring Deleted IQ Hardwire PowerG Module Zones

Deleted zones can be restored into the system by manually enrolling the IQ Hardwire PowerG module's ESN under the Add Sensor menu. Navigate to: Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Add Sensor.

Visual Description: Add Sensor Screen for Restoration

Two IQPanel 2+ screens are shown. The first is similar to the 'Edit Sensor' screen, offering options like 'AUTO LEARN SENSOR', 'ADD SENSOR', 'EDIT SENSOR', 'DELETE SENSOR', and 'SENSOR STATUS'. The second screen displays fields for adding a new sensor: 'Sensor DL ID', 'Sensor Name', 'Sensor Type', 'Chime Type', 'Sensor Group', 'Voice Prompts', and 'Source'. An 'ADD NEW' button is present.

A third screen shows detailed fields for adding a sensor, specifically for restoring: 'Sensor DL ID' (460, 6462), 'Hardwire Input' (3), 'Sensor Type' (PGM2), 'Sensor Group' (Corbus), 'Sensor Input' (End Of Line), 'Sensor Name' (Front Door), 'Chime Type' (High Wire), 'Voice Prompts' (On), and 'Source' (PowerG). An 'ADD NEW' button is at the bottom.

Enter the IQ Hardwire PowerG module's ESN into the 'Sensor DL ID' field. Select the appropriate 'Hardwire Input' to be restored, edit the zone information as needed, and then click 'ADD NEW'.

If additional wireless zones have been enrolled after the IQ Hardwire PowerG module's zone inputs were deleted, the restored inputs will enroll into the next available zone slots on the panel.

Note: If it is desired to keep the IQ Hardwire PowerG module's zones in sequential order (grouped together), any existing zones occupying those sequential slots must first be deleted. The IQ Hardwire PowerG module's inputs can then be reenrolled into the panel after restoration.
