Introduction

The ITECH IT-M7700 series is a newly launched High Performance Programmable AC Power Supply that combines intelligence and flexibility. It addresses limitations of traditional AC power sources by offering a compact 1U Half-Rack design, maximizing space utilization. The integrated power meter and arbitrary waveform generator allow for convenient simulation of various waveform outputs. Designed with advanced technologies for programmable AC and DC power supplies, the IT-M7700 is suitable for diverse applications including power energy products, home appliances, industrial electronics, avionics, military, and IEC standards testing.

Product Overview & Design

The IT-M7700 series is designed to overcome the bulkiness and weight issues of conventional AC power supplies. Its 1U Half-Rack size and 4.5kg weight make it highly portable and space-efficient, ideal for bench testing and system integration. This high-power density design allows for greater space utilization compared to traditional units weighing over 10kg.

Advanced Waveform Capabilities

Arbitrary Waveforms Output

Users can define custom arbitrary waveforms using the IT-M7700 software and download them to the power supply. This allows for the simulation or duplication of real-world waveforms, enhancing test flexibility.

Harmonic Analysis Function

The IT-M7700 series supports up to the 40th order voltage/current harmonic measurements within the 45Hz to 50Hz frequency range. Analysis results are presented clearly in list or columnar formats.

List Mode

The IT-M7700 LIST mode facilitates complex waveform editing. Users can create up to 5 list files, with each file containing up to 50 steps. Each step allows for parameter settings such as basic waveform type (including THD and user-defined), AC/DC amplitude, slew rate, frequency, dwell time, start/stop phase angle, and repetition count. This feature is valuable for simulating grid disturbances, periodic power outages, and other complex scenarios.

Multiple Output Modes: AC, DC, AC+DC

The IT-M7700 series offers AC, DC, and AC+DC output modes. The AC+DC mode allows for the expansion of application fields by enabling tests with DC offset elements.

Surge / Trap Wave Function

This function allows users to add surge or trap waves to the output sine wave, simulating voltage fluctuations and replicating real-world testing environments.

Harmonic Simulation Function

The unit can measure up to 40 harmonic orders within the 45-50Hz frequency range, effectively simulating distorted waveforms to aid in finding solutions for power quality issues.

Built-in Abundant Waveform Database

The IT-M7700 series includes user-defined waveforms like square, saw, and triangle, alongside 30 built-in distortion waveforms. These can be edited, recalled, and used as basic waveforms during list programming.

Advanced Control and Testing Features

Front and Rear Dimmer Phase Dimming Function

The IT-M7700 series supports front and rear phase angle dimming or speed control tests. Users can adjust active power by setting the phase angle and controlling waveform concealment (leading or trailing edge) to modify light intensity or motor speed. This is used to verify potential quality hazards when using dimming or speed controllers.

Output Waveform Start/Stop Phase Angle is Settable

The initial and stop phases of the output waveform can be set to meet diverse test requirements, within a range of 0-360°. Adjusting the phase angle allows for testing rush current at different positions, applicable to switch current impulse tests and rectifier tests.

Application: LED Driver, Household Appliances

This feature is used for verifying input surge current and power supply disturbance performance for products like LED drivers and household appliances.

Built-in AC Power Meter

Application Case: Capacitive Load Testing

When testing a capacitive load, high current impulses can cause voltage drops, leading to test failures. Excessive surge current can also damage the AC power supply. Panel Operation and Remote Control

Users can operate the IT-M7700 easily via its front panel. The unit also supports remote control and ATE system integration through standard interfaces like USB, GPIB, LAN, and RS-232, as well as an analog interface. It supports LXI and SCPI protocols for convenient remote control and monitoring via a web server.

The IT-M7700 series, with its strong programming capabilities, can test the immunity of aircraft electrical equipment against AC input changes. Using professional software, users can efficiently conduct tests according to standards such as RTCA DO-160D, MIL-STD-704F, ABD0100, Boeing 787B3-0147, and MIL-STD-1399-300B.
