Setup Guide

Step 1: Remove Tapes

Remove all protective tapes and films from the printer and the toner cartridge.

Step 2: Remove Cartridge and Prepare

Remove the toner cartridge from the printer. ⚠️ Do not touch the roller surface of the cartridge.

Step 3: Remove Protective Film

Remove the orange guides, tape, and pull the tab to remove the protective film from the toner cartridge.

Step 4: Reinsert Cartridge and Power On

Reinsert the toner cartridge into the printer and close the door. Plug the printer into a power outlet and turn it on ?.

Step 5: Load Paper and Extend Tray

Open the input tray and slide out the paper guides. Load Letter or A4 paper and adjust the guides. Pull open the tray extender.

Step 6: Install HP App and Connect

Install the required HP app from hp.com/start/install or your computer's or mobile device's app store. Follow the instructions in the HP app to connect the printer to a network and finish setup.
