- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a damp cloth.
- Place the inner pan into the rice cooker.
Cooking Rice
Follow these steps for cooking rice:
- Do not place the rice cooker under cabinets or shelves, as hot steam may cause damage.
- Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup (1 cup per person).
- Rinse the rice until the water runs relatively clear, then drain briefly. Do not rinse in the inner pan, as hard grains can damage the non-stick coating.
- Place the rinsed rice into the inner pan.
- Add the required amount of water. For white rice, use a 1:1 ratio (1 cup rice to 1 cup water). The markings inside the inner pan are indicative and for white rice only. For softer rice, soak for 10-20 minutes before cooking.
- Ensure the outside of the inner pan is dry and clean before placing it in the cooker. The inner pan must make proper contact with the heating element, free from food residues.
- Place the lid on the pan.
- Insert the power cord and switch the ON/OFF button to ON.
- Press the Start button. The COOK indicator light will illuminate. Avoid opening the lid during cooking to prevent steam loss and longer cooking times.
- When rice is ready, the cooker automatically switches to WARM mode (COOK light off, WARM light on). Let the rice rest for at least 10 minutes with the lid on.
- Use oven gloves to remove the inner pan, as it can be hot.
- Serve the rice using the provided spoon to avoid damaging the non-stick layer.
- Switch off the appliance by unplugging it or turning the ON/OFF switch off.
- Attention: Ensure the outside of the inner pan is completely clean and dry before placing it in the cooker.
- Never use the inner pan for purposes other than cooking rice in the cooker, as it may warp.
Steaming Food
Follow these steps for steaming food:
- Add water to the inner pan, ensuring enough water to prevent dry cooking.
- Place food in the steamer basket. Do not overfill. For small items, use a heat-resistant container within the basket. Cut larger items into smaller pieces.
- Ensure the outside of the inner pan is dry and makes proper contact with the heating element.
- Place the lid on the pan.
- Press the Start button. The COOK indicator light will illuminate.
- When food is cooked, the cooker may not switch to WARM mode if water remains. Check food readiness by carefully removing the lid (beware of hot steam).
- The cooker will continue steaming until unplugged or the ON/OFF switch is turned off.
- Switch off the appliance by unplugging it or turning the ON/OFF switch off.
Cooking Rice and Steaming Food Simultaneously
This function allows cooking rice and steaming food at the same time:
- Add rice and water to the inner pan (refer to "Cooking Rice" section). Do not exceed 6 cups of white rice or 4 cups of brown rice when steaming, as the steamer basket may not fit.
- Ensure the outside of the inner pan is dry and makes proper contact with the heating element.
- Place the lid on the pan. It is recommended to add the steamer basket with food later for simultaneous readiness.
- Place food in the steamer basket. Remove the lid (beware of hot steam) and place the basket in the inner pan.
- Replace the lid and let the rice cooker continue cooking.
- Open the lid when food is steamed to desired time (beware of hot steam). Use oven gloves to remove the basket and check food.
- Replace the lid and let the rice cook until done.
- When rice is ready, the cooker switches to WARM mode (WARM light on, COOK light off).
- Switch off the appliance by unplugging it or turning the ON/OFF switch off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always unplug and let the rice cooker cool down before cleaning.
- Remove the inner pan and wash with warm water and mild detergent using a soft sponge or cloth.
- Rinse and dry the inner pan thoroughly.
- Repeat for the steamer basket and other accessories.
- Remove the steam valve from the lid to easily detach and clean the inner lid.
- Ensure all accessories are completely dry before returning them to the cooker.
- Clean the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
- The appliance itself is not dishwasher safe, but the inner pan and accessories are.
- Ensure the outside of the inner pan is clean and dry before placing it in the cooker to prevent damage to the heating element.
Tips
If the rice is too dry/hard after cooking:
Add more water and extend the cooking time. Depending on dryness, add 0.5 to 1 cup of water and stir. Close lid, press start. Check consistency when it switches to WARM mode. Repeat if necessary.
If the rice is too wet/sticky after cooking:
Stir the rice with the provided spoon to distribute moisture. Close lid and leave on WARM mode for another 10-30 minutes, stirring occasionally to release excess moisture.
