⚠️ WARNING ENTRAPMENT AND FALL HAZARD
- Do NOT use or place near any type of bed. Use on a bed may result in entrapment risk. Stander Inc. recommends NOT installing the product closer than the user's safe walking distance around the pole, to prevent entrapment between the pole and adjacent objects. Small gaps between the pole/swivel handle and stationary objects can entrap and kill.
- The Security Pole uses a spring-loaded pin that allows the handle to rotate and lock into several positions. Ensure the rotating handle is in a locked position before use. Failure to do so may result in falls and serious injury.
- People with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, or those who are sedated, confused, or frail, are at increased risk of entrapment and falls.
- Do NOT install the product on rugs or any other moveable objects. Do NOT install on floor conditions that would allow the base of the pole to slide or slip. If the base moves after installation, the product is not safe to use.
- Failure to comply with these conditions could put the user(s) at risk of entrapment or falling.

Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Remove the product from its box and identify all parts as shown in FIGURE 1. The parts are labeled A through F.
Step 2: Insert part A into part B. Align the holes on both parts and insert pin J. Secure the connection by inserting clip K through pin J. Note: For a 7-foot ceiling, remove part B and attach part A directly to part C, then proceed to Step 4.
Step 3: Determine the required height between the floor and ceiling. Align the appropriate hole in part B with the corresponding hole in part C. Insert pin J and secure with clip K. The diagram shows height indicators for 8' (2.43m), 9' (2.74m), and 10' (3.04m).
Step 4: Twist part D to its highest position. Insert part C into part E.
Step 5: Place part F on the floor at the desired installation location. Insert part E into part F. Ensure that the half-hole in part E is positioned around the rod in part F.
Step 6: While ensuring the product is level, tighten part D using tool G. Continue tightening until the product is securely held between the floor and ceiling with absolutely no sliding.
Step 7: To rotate the grab bar handle (part E), pull the Spring Pin. Rotate part E to the desired position. Release the Spring Pin and rotate part E further until the pin locks securely into place.
Step 8: (OPTIONAL) For additional security, use the provided screws (H) as shown in FIGURE 8. Ensure screws H pass through the ceiling joists. If the floor is ceramic or concrete, drill pilot holes first.
