Troubleshooting Guide

During Operation

The shutter won't trip.1. The battery power is low.
2. The battery is not inserted correctly.
3. The flash is charging (indicated by blinking).
4. The exposure counter is showing " " sign.
1. Charge the battery or insert a fully-charged spare battery.
2. Insert the battery correctly.
3. Wait until the flash indicator stops blinking.
4. Unload the film pack, and load a new film pack.
The film pack won't load into your camera, or won't load into your camera smoothly.1. The film pack is not for your camera.
2. You are not loading the film pack correctly.
1. Use Fujifilm Instant Color Film "instax mini" only.
2. Match the yellow line on the film pack with the yellow positioning mark in your camera.
The film cover cannot be ejected.1. You have inserted the battery after loading the film pack.
2. The battery power is low.
3. The film pack cannot be recognized.
1. Insert the battery, turn the camera on, then load the film pack.
2. Charge the battery or insert a fully-charged spare battery, turn the camera on, then reload the film pack.
3. Remove the film pack, then reload it. Load a new film pack if the film has been exposed.
The film is ejected unintentionally.The back cover was opened and then closed.Load a new film pack if the film has been exposed.
Power is turned OFF though the shutter release button is pressed.The battery power is low.Charge the battery or insert a fully-charged spare battery.
The LCD looks black.The camera was put in too hot a place.Put the camera in a cool place. The LCD returns to normal after a while.

Printed Pictures

ProblemPossible CausesSolutions
The finished print looks overexposed (White in color).1. The ambient temperature is low (below +5°C).
2. The background is too dark in comparison with the subject.
3. The AE light sensor window or flash sensor window is blocked.
1. Before taking pictures, place your camera in a warm place. When the picture comes out of your camera, warm it up in your breast pocket.
2. Press the lighten-darken control button to set to [DARKEN].
3. Be careful how you hold the camera so that the AE light sensor or flash sensor window is not blocked.
The finished print looks underexposed (Dark).1. The ambient temperature is high (above +40°C).
2. The picture was taken into the light.
3. The flash lamp face, AE light sensor window or flash sensor window was covered.
4. The background is too bright in comparison with the subject.
5. The flash light did not reach the subject.
1. Keep camera, film (exposed prints) away from excessive heat (+40°C).
2. Take pictures with the light behind you, or take pictures using Fill-in Flash Mode.
3. When holding your camera, be careful not to cover the flash lamp face with your finger or strap.
4. Press the lighten-darken control button to set to [LIGHTEN].
5. Take pictures within 0.3 to 2.7m from the subject.
The picture is out of focus.1. The shooting range is too close to the subject.
2. The subject is not properly in focus.
3. The lens is not clean.
4. Your camera was shaken when taking the picture.
1. Take pictures with a distance of at least 0.6m between you and your subject, or take pictures with the macro mode.
2. Do not stand too close to your subject.
3. Please contact a FUJIFILM authorized distributor.
4. Hold your camera firmly and press the shutter release button gently. Since the slow shutter is selected when shooting in the Party, Bulb, or Flash off mode, fixing the camera using a table, tripod, etc. is recommended.
The picture is blurred.1. A pressure was applied to the picture immediately after coming out from the camera.
2. The picture did not come out smoothly.
1. Do not press onto or fold the picture.
2. Do not block the film exit with your finger.
The subject in the viewfinder has shifted in finished print.The shooting range is too close to the subject.Take pictures with a distance of at least 0.6m between you and your subject. Take pictures with the macro mode.
