12. Approval information
Approval information
This wireless device complies with recommendations concerning exposure to radio waves. This wireless device is a radio transmitter and receiver. The product is designed so that it does not exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) set forth in the international recommendations of the independent scientific organization ICNIRP. These recommendations include safety margins to ensure the safety of all people, regardless of age and health status. Exposure recommendations are based on the specific absorption rate (SAR), which indicates the power of radio frequency radiation transmitted to the head or body. The SAR limit for wireless devices according to ICNIRP recommendations is 2.0 W/kg, averaged over 10 grams of tissue. SAR tests are conducted in the device's normal operating positions and at the highest approved transmission power in all frequency bands of the device.
This device complies with recommendations concerning radio frequency exposure when the device is held against the head or when the device is at a distance of at least 1.5 cm from the body. When carrying the device attached to the body using a carrying case, belt clip, or other holder, it should not contain metal and the device placed in it should be at the aforementioned distance from the body.
Data or message transmission requires a good quality network connection. Data is only transferred when such a connection is available. Follow the distance instructions until the transmission is complete.
During normal use, SAR values are generally much lower than the values mentioned above. This is because the system automatically reduces the mobile device's operating power when a call does not require full power to optimize system performance and prevent network interference. When the output power is lower, the SAR value is also lower.
There may be different versions of device models, and parts and design may change over time, and some changes may affect SAR values. For more information, visit www.sar-tick.com. Note that wireless devices can transmit even when not on a call.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that, based on current scientific knowledge, there is no need to take special precautions when using wireless devices. If you wish to limit your exposure, WHO recommends avoiding the use of the device or using a hands-free kit and keeping the device away from your head and body. For more information, explanations, and discussions on RF exposure, visit the WHO website at www.who.int/health-topics/electromagnetic-fields#tab=tab_1.
See www.hmd.com/sar for the device's maximum SAR value.
