Product Description

The BAHIA CURVE S is a hygro-regulating extraction grille designed for sanitary spaces (bathrooms and WCs) to ensure adequate and permanent extraction of indoor pollutants based on the room's humidity level.

It is suitable for technical rooms in individual homes and collective housing, both new and renovated. This is a small hygro-regulating grille for flow rates below 50m³/h.

Operating Principles

In a hygro-regulating VMC system, the airflow is automatically regulated according to the room's humidity level and thus according to the actual ventilation needs of the building. The BAHIA CURVE S grille is installed in sanitary rooms.

Installation Guidelines

BAHIA CURVE S must be installed in humid or technical rooms: bathrooms, WCs, utility rooms.
The grille should be positioned at the top of a vertical wall or on the ceiling at a height of at least 1.80 meters above the floor.
The grille must be accessible and removable with a distance of at least 20 cm between the center of the grille and adjacent walls, and not attached to the duct.
The airtightness of the connection between the grille and the connecting duct must be optimal. This is improved by using a collar. A metal collar is used for collective housing (stainless steel collar is mandatory for Gas VMC). A plastic collar can be used for individual homes.
For versions with a 125 mm duct, the grille attaches directly (by interlocking with an O-ring) into: collars, RT Flex, rigid or semi-rigid ducts.
For versions with an 80 mm duct, it attaches by interlocking into: collars, rigid or semi-rigid ducts.
For cord-operated grilles installed on the ceiling or above furniture, use a cord return (code 11015001).
For electrically controlled hygro-regulating grilles, use a 9V alkaline battery, type 6LR61, and a standard push button (code 11026011).
Hygro-regulating grilles operate within the pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
Extraction grilles must be maintained and checked at least once a year. It is forbidden to connect a mechanical hood to the VMC system (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
Before replacing an old grille with a new one, take a pressure reading and note the type of dwelling concerned.
