  • Never allow untrained persons or children to use or service the machine.
  • Keep unauthorized persons at a distance, outside the 15m (50 ft.) safety zone. Stop the machine immediately if anyone approaches.

Power Tool Use and Care

  • Never use a machine modified from its original specification.
  • Never use the machine near explosive or flammable materials.
  • Never use a faulty machine. Follow maintenance and service instructions. Some tasks require trained specialists.
  • Only use original spare parts.
  • Keep ventilation openings clear of debris.
  • Ensure all covers, guards, and handles are fitted before starting.
  • Use the machine only in daylight or well-lit conditions.
  • Never use the machine in bad weather (fog, rain, strong winds, intense cold, lightning risk). Hot weather may cause overheating. Operation in bad weather is tiring and can lead to dangerous conditions.
  • If the machine vibrates abnormally, stop it and remove the battery.
  • Walk, do not run, while operating.

General Safety Instructions

  • Listen for warning signals or shouts when wearing hearing protection. Remove hearing protection as soon as the product stops.
  • Show consideration for others by avoiding use at unsuitable times. Follow local regulations.
  • Use the lowest possible airflow. Lower airflow means less noise, less dust, and better control.
  • Use a rake or brush to release stuck debris.
  • Hold the blower opening close to the ground.
  • Observe surroundings and direct the product away from people, animals, play areas, and cars.
  • Minimize blowing time by lightly wetting dusty areas or using spray equipment.
  • Be aware of wind direction; work with the wind.
  • Stop the product and remove the battery if it vibrates abnormally.
  • Using the blower for large piles is time-consuming and noisy.
  • Clean up afterwards, ensuring no rubbish is blown into neighboring gardens.
  • Do not run with the product.
  • Powerful air currents can cause objects to bounce back, leading to serious eye injuries.
  • Do not direct airflow towards people or animals.
  • Stop the motor before assembling or dismantling accessories.
  • Keep body parts away from hot surfaces.
  • Never put the product down when activated unless it is in clear sight.
  • The blower must not be used on a ladder or scaffolding.
  • Do not use the product unless you can call for help in an emergency.
  • Watch out for thrown objects (stones, rubbish) that can cause blindness or serious injury.
  • Use a residual-current device (RCI) for increased security against electrical faults.
  • This product has low vibration. Overexposure to vibration can lead to circulatory or nerve damage. Consult a doctor if experiencing symptoms like numbness, loss of feeling, tingling, pain, or changes in skin color/condition.
  • Only use the product for its intended purpose.
  • Exercise care and common sense. Avoid situations beyond your capability. Consult an expert if uncertain about operating procedures.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Always use approved PPE. PPE cannot fully prevent injury but can decrease the degree of injury. Consult your dealer for selection.
  • Long-term noise exposure can cause hearing damage. Use hearing protectors for extended use. Regular users should have hearing checked regularly. Note that hearing protectors can limit the ability to hear sounds and warning signals.
  • Use approved eye protection (goggles or visor complying with ANSI Z87.1 or EN 166).
  • Use clothing made of strong fabric: heavy, long pants, long sleeves. Avoid loose clothing, jewelry, short pants, sandals, or bare feet. Tie hair up safely.
  • Keep first aid equipment close at hand.
  • A breathing mask should be used when there is a risk of dust.

Operation

To Do a Function Check Before You Use the Product

  1. Check the air inlet for dirt and cracks. Clean with a brush.
  2. Ensure the product works correctly.
  3. Check that all nuts and screws are tight.

To Connect the Battery Charger

  1. Connect the battery charger to a power outlet matching the rating plate specifications.
  2. Plug into a grounded socket outlet. The charger's LED will flash green once.

Note: The battery will not charge if its temperature exceeds 50°C (122°F). The charger will cool the battery before charging if it is too hot.

To Charge the Battery

Note: Charge the battery fully for the first use; new batteries are only 30% charged.

  1. Ensure the battery is dry.
  2. Place the battery in the battery charger.
  3. Verify the green charging light on the charger illuminates, indicating a correct connection.
  4. The battery is fully charged when all LEDs on the battery are lit.
  5. To disconnect, pull the plug from the socket, not the cable.
  6. Remove the battery from the charger.

To Connect the Battery to the Product

⚠️ WARNING: Only use Husqvarna original batteries.

  1. Ensure the battery is fully charged.
  2. Slide the battery into the product's battery holder. It should slide easily. If not, it's not installed correctly.
  3. Press the lower part of the battery firmly into the compartment until it locks with a click.
  4. Confirm latches are securely in place.

To Start the Product

  1. Press and hold the start button until the green LED light illuminates.
  2. Use the power trigger to control speed.

To Stop the Product

  1. Release the power trigger.
  2. Press and hold the power button until the green LED light turns off.
  3. Remove the battery by pushing the release buttons and pulling it out.

To Set the Optimal Airflow for Your Work

  1. Press the power trigger to select the desired airflow.
  2. Press the cruise control button to set the chosen airflow; the LED will illuminate.
  3. Work without needing to hold the power trigger.
  4. Press the cruise control button again to deactivate the function.

To Temporarily Increase the Airflow

  1. Start the product.
  2. Press and hold the boost button to achieve maximum airflow; the LED will illuminate.

Note: The 525iB Mark II has unlimited boost time. The 325iB has a limited boost time of 30 seconds.

  1. Release the boost button to return to normal airflow.

CAUTION: A blocked air intake reduces blowing capacity and increases motor temperature, potentially leading to motor failure due to overheating.

  1. Examine the battery for damages, e.g., cracks.
  2. Examine the battery charger for damages, e.g., cracks.
  3. Ensure the battery charger's connection cord is not damaged and has no cracks.

Transportation and Storage

  • Use tape on open contacts when packaging batteries. Pack batteries tightly to prevent movement.
  • Remove the battery for storage or transportation.
  • Store batteries and chargers in a dry space, free from moisture and frost. Avoid areas with static electricity; do not store in metal boxes.
  • Store batteries between 5°C/41°F and 25°C/77°F, away from direct sunlight.
  • Store battery chargers between 5°C/41°F and 45°C/113°F, away from direct sunlight.
  • Use the battery charger only when ambient temperature is between 5°C/41°F and 40°C/104°F.
  • Charge batteries to 30%-50% before long-term storage.
  • Store battery chargers in a closed, dry space.
  • Keep batteries and chargers separate during storage. Keep out of reach of children and unauthorized persons. Lock equipment when storing.
  • Clean and service the product before long-term storage.
  • Use the transportation guard to prevent damage during transport and storage.
  • Attach the product securely during transportation.
