1. Download App
To download the TuyaSmart App, search for "TuyaSmart" in your preferred app store. Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in the original document.
2. Register/ Log in/ Password Retrieval
2.1 Registration
If you do not have an app account, you can register using text message authentication. The registration process is detailed below.
Steps:
- Click "Register" to access the TuyaSmart privacy policy page.
- Click "Agree" to proceed to the mobile phone number registration screen.
The system will automatically detect your country/region, or you can select it manually. Enter your mobile phone number or email address and tap "Continue" to receive a verification code. Subsequently, set your password as instructed.
(Registration via email is recommended.)
2.2 Log in
If you already have an app account, tap "Log in" to proceed.
- The system automatically identifies your country/region, or you can select it manually.
- Enter your registered mobile phone number or email and your password to log in.
- Third-Party Social Login (China only): If WeChat is installed on your mobile phone, tap the WeChat icon for social login and authorize the access.
2.3 Verify via SMS
Tap "Verify via SMS" and then enter your phone number or email to receive a verification code.
2.4 Password Retrieval
If you forget your app password, follow these steps for password retrieval:
- Tap "Forgot Password".
- The system will identify your country/region, or you can select it manually. Enter the mobile phone number or email used for registration and tap "Continue".
- Enter the authentication code sent to your mobile phone number or email.
- Reset your password and enter the new password to log in.
3. Household/ Member Management
Tap the pull-down arrow at the top left corner (labeled "FC" in the original document) to add a household and manage your homes. A single account can manage multiple households simultaneously. You can operate a device within a household by selecting it from the household menu.
3.1 Home Management
Tap "FC" to access the home management page. Other household members can control smart devices within the household but are restricted from modifying, adding, or deleting devices.
3.2 Room Management
Add or delete rooms within a household and manage all room settings in one centralized location.
3.3 Access Control
Configure administrative access for different individuals to devices. All devices and smart scenarios within a household can be shared among members without the need to repeat sharing settings.
3.4 Add Members
Other household members can control smart devices but cannot modify, add, or delete them.
4. Add Device
Tap "Add Device" on the app's home page or the "+" icon at the top right to navigate to the "All Devices" page, where you can select and add devices.
* A password administrator must be configured in advance for verification during device addition.
4.2 Select Device Type
Tap "All" to view all device categories. Locate and tap "Lock" as depicted in the interface.
4.3 Device Pairing Modes
The app supports two pairing configurations: Default mode and Compatibility mode. Tap "Compatibility mode" to switch between these modes.
To select "Default mode", ensure the smart device's indicator light is flashing rapidly (twice per second), then tap the button to proceed.
4.4 Device Pairing Sequence
Awake the lock pad, then press "3" followed by "#" after administrator verification. The number "8" will flash rapidly on the pad. Subsequently, tap "Confirm indicator rapidly blink" to continue adding the device.
* Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi.
4.5 Connecting
A notification will appear on the lock upon successful connection. Verify that your Wi-Fi channel is set to 2.4G.
4.6 Finish Adding Device
- Device addition is successful. You can now rename the device as needed.
- Tap "Done" to navigate to the remote control page.
5. Remote Control
5.1 Functions Overview
- Tap "Alarm" to check the battery status.
- Tap "Records" to view the unlock history.
5.2 Remote Unlock
- On the lock pad, press "4" followed by "#".
- The app will request confirmation to unlock remotely.
- Tap "CONFIRM" to unlock.
5.3 Dynamic Password
- Tap the phone screen to generate a dynamic password.
- Enter the dynamic password to unlock the device.
5.4 Temporary Password
- Tap the bottom-left option to set a temporary password.
- Tap "Add".
- Configure your temporary password, the user's name, and the validity period (start and end times).
- Once completed, tap "Done" to exit the temporary password setup. The screen will then display the configured temporary password.
- To unlock using a temporary password, awake the lock pad, enter "00" followed by the 6-digit code you previously set.
