GoodWe Smart Meter HK1000/HK3000 Quick Installation Guide
Version: V1.0-2022-01-25
01 Product Introduction
This section introduces the GoodWe Smart Meter, models HK1000 and HK3000.
Smart Meter Overview
The GoodWe Smart Meter is designed for monitoring and control applications. The front panel features an indicator light (?), a reserved port, and a reset button (⚙️). It includes terminals for RS485 communication (A/B), and current transformer (CT) connections (CT1+/-, CT2+/-, CT3+/-). The device is DIN-rail mountable.
Dimensions:
- Width: 72mm (2.83in)
- Height: 85mm (3.35in)
- Depth: 35.5mm (1.40in)
Current Transformer (CT)
The Current Transformer (CT) sensor is used for measuring current. It has terminals labeled L and K. The CT comes with a 2-meter (78.74in) cable. The opening for the conductor is 16mm (0.63in) in diameter, with a width of 35mm (1.38in).
02 Installation
Accessory List
The following accessories are included with the meter:
- Meter x 1
- Screwdriver x 1
- USB Cap x 1
- Pin Terminals x 4
- Antenna x 1
Installation and Wiring
The installation involves mounting the meter and connecting the power and communication cables. Ensure proper connection of wires to the designated terminals. The diagram shows the meter being mounted and connected to other system components.
03 Networking
HK1000 Networking
The HK1000 model connects to the system including an inverter (connected to PV panels ☀️), a load (?), the meter itself, and the grid (⚡). It uses RS485 communication and CT sensors for current measurement. The diagram shows the connections for power (N, L1, L2), RS485, and CT sensors. A SEMS router (?) is used for network connectivity via a network cable. An antenna (?) is also depicted, likely for wireless communication.
Connection Notes:
- Recommended cross-sectional area for meter input voltage wire: 1mm² (17AWG).
- Do not remove the shorting wires for L1 and L2.
- CT connection direction: House(K) --> Grid(L).
HK3000 Networking
The HK3000 model is designed for 3-phase systems and connects to an inverter (PV panels ☀️), a load (?), the meter, and the grid (⚡). It supports 3-phase power input (L1, L2, L3, N). Similar to the HK1000, it uses RS485 communication and CT sensors. The diagram illustrates the 3-phase power connections, RS485, and CT connections. A SEMS router (?) connects via a network cable, and an antenna (?) is included.
Connection Notes:
- Recommended cross-sectional area for meter input voltage wire: 1mm² (17AWG).
- CT connection direction: House(K) --> Grid(L).
04 Device Commissioning
Power On
- Ensure meter wiring is completed.
- Power on the inverter and verify it is operating normally. The meter will then be powered on.
