ASUS RT-AX57 Wi-Fi Router Quick Start Guide
This guide provides instructions for setting up your ASUS RT-AX57 AX3000 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router.
Hardware Overview
Power Button: Turns the router on or off.
Reset Button: Resets the router to factory defaults.
WPS Button: Wi-Fi Protected Setup button.
WAN Port (Internet): Connects to your modem.
LAN Ports 1-4: Connect wired devices.
Power Jack: Connects to the power adapter.
LED Indicators: Show the status of Power, 2.4GHz, 5GHz, WAN, and LAN connections.
Power Adapter: DC Output: 12V (1.5A).
Operating Temperature: 0-40°C
Operating Humidity: 50-90%
Storage Temperature: 0-70°C
Storage Humidity: 20-90%
Steps for Single Router Setup
01 Prepare Your Modem
- Unplug the power cable from your modem. If your modem has a battery backup, remove it.
- Connect your modem to the router's WAN port using the provided network cable.
- Turn on your modem. Plug the modem into a power outlet and turn it on.
- Check your modem's lights to ensure the connection is established.
Note: If you use DSL for internet access, you will need the username and password provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to configure your router.
02 Install Your Router
- Connect the power adapter to the power port and press the power button. The power LED will illuminate when the hardware is ready.
Configuration Options
Via the ASUS Router App
- On iOS or Android, open your app store, search for "ASUS Router", and download the app.
- On iOS or Android, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, then connect to the network named with the default SSID displayed on the label at the back of the router. You can also scan the QR code on the label to connect to the default SSID.
- Launch the ASUS Router app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Via a Web Browser
- Wired: Connect your computer to a router LAN port using an additional network cable.
- Wi-Fi: Connect to the network named with the default SSID displayed on the label at the back of the router (e.g., ASUS_XX, where XX are the last two digits of the MAC address).
- Open a web browser. You will be automatically redirected to the ASUS setup wizard. If not, navigate to http://www.asusrouter.com.
- Follow the instructions to complete the configuration.
