One Router Setup Steps
01 Prepare your Modem
Step 1: Unplug Modem
Unplug the power of cable/DSL modem. If it has a battery backup, remove the battery.
Step 2: Connect Modem to Router
Connect your modem to the WAN port at the back side of the router using the provided network cable.
Step 3: Power On Modem
Plug the modem into the power outlet and power it on.
Step 4: Check Modem LEDs
Check the modem LED lights to ensure the connection is active.
02 Install your Router
Step 1: Connect Power
Plug the adapter into the DCIN port and press the Power switch.
Step 2: Power On Router
The power LED will light up when the hardware is ready.
If you are using DSL for internet, you will need your username/password from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to properly configure your router.
Setup Method: Via App
Step 3: Download ASUS Router App
On your iOS or Android mobile device, go to the app store, search for ASUS Router, and download the app.
Step 4: Connect to Router's Wi-Fi
On your mobile device, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, connect to the default network SSID shown on the product label on the back of the router (e.g., ASUS_XX, where XX are the last two digits of the MAC address). Alternatively, scan the QR code on the product label to connect to the default network SSID.
Step 5: Complete Setup with App
Launch the ASUS Router App and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Setup Method: Via Web Browser
Step 3: Connect to Router
Wired Connection: Connect your PC to a LAN port at the back of the router using an additional network cable.
Wireless Connection: Connect to the network with the default SSID shown on the product label on the back of your router (e.g., ASUS_XX).
Step 4: Launch Setup Wizard
Open a web browser. You will be redirected to the ASUS Setup Wizard. If not, navigate to http://router.asus.com. Follow the instructions to complete the setup.

The maximum antenna gain permitted for devices in the bands 5250-5350 MHz and 5470-5725 MHz shall comply with the e.i.r.p. limit.
