Pre-Ride Checks
Inspect your bike before each use. Perform a visual check to identify any wear on components that could worsen without inspection.
- Frame: Check for any cracks. No suspicious noise should be present. If you find a crack or hear a cracking sound, contact your dealer.
- Chain: Ensure it is clean and lubricated. The transmission should be silent.
- Brakes: Check the condition of the discs and pads before each use. Replace worn pads and regularly clean the disc with a dedicated product.
- Tires: Check tire pressure and for any holes or cuts. Verify their wear level.
- Wheels: Ensure the wheels turn without friction or grating in the bearings. Check the tightening of the wheel axles to 10 N.m.
- Headset: While braking with the front brake and moving the bike back and forth, check for play in the steering. Also, by pivoting the handlebars, check that the bearings turn smoothly without stiffness or grating.
Maintenance Frequency
- Headset: Inspect at each use / Change every 10,000 Kms / 1 year.
- Chain: Inspect every 1000 Kms. We recommend changing the chain more regularly (3500/4000 kms) to ensure a good lifespan for the rest of the transmission.
- Derailleur Hangers / Fork: Check the tightening of the derailleur hanger and fork hanger annually.
