Welcome to NATTBAD

This guide provides instructions for setting up and using your IKEA NATTBAD Bluetooth speaker.

Getting Started

Connecting Power

• Connect the power cable to the AC power input (5) and the other end to the wall socket.

Turning On the Speaker

• Briefly press the system button (4) to turn on the speaker.

Bluetooth Pairing

• When the speaker is in pairing mode, the LED status indicator will flash white.
• If pairing mode does not start automatically, press and hold the system button (4).
• Turn on Bluetooth on your device and pair it with NATTBAD.
• A confirmation sound will play, and the LED status indicator will flash twice when paired.

Using Your NATTBAD Speaker

Volume Control

• Turn the sound control knob (2) counter-clockwise to decrease volume or clockwise to increase it.
• Volume can also be controlled from your connected device.

Track Control

• Briefly press the sound control (2) to pause or play the track.
• Press twice to skip to the next track.
• Press three times to go to the previous track.

Spotify Tap™

What is Spotify Tap™?

• Spotify Tap™ allows you to resume and change music directly from the Bluetooth speaker by pressing a button (3).

Setting up Spotify Tap™

• Download the Spotify app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
• Ensure your device is paired with the NATTBAD speaker via Bluetooth.
• Ensure the Spotify app is open (this is only necessary for the first use).
• Press the Spotify Tap™ button (3) to start music playback.
• From now on, a quick press of the Spotify Tap™ button (3) will resume music playback as long as your device is paired and within range.

Changing Music with Spotify Tap™

• While music is playing, press the button (3) again to change to a recommended track.

Connecting Multiple Speakers

Multi-Speaker Mode

• This speaker supports multi-speaker mode, allowing connection with other speakers in the same mode for synchronized audio playback.
• Connect your device to one speaker via Bluetooth.
• Press and hold the sound control (2) on another speaker you wish to connect. The LED status indicator (1) will flash white twice, and a confirmation sound will play.
• Repeat this process for each new speaker you want to add to multi-speaker mode.

Disconnecting from Multi-Speaker Mode

• To activate pairing mode on a speaker for disconnection, press and hold the system button (4) for more than 1.5 seconds.

Bluetooth Device Management

Unpairing Bluetooth Devices

• To connect a different device, turn off Bluetooth on the currently paired device. The speaker will automatically enter pairing mode.
• If it does not, press and hold the system button (4) to enter pairing mode.

Factory Reset

• If the speaker is not functioning correctly, try a factory reset.
• Press and hold the system button (4) for 8 seconds until the red LED status indicator stops flashing.
• You will need to re-pair your device after a factory reset.

Safety and Important Information

Warnings

• Overheating Risk: Never install the product in a confined space. Always leave at least 5 mm clearance around the product for ventilation. Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked by curtains or other objects.
• Do not place the product or batteries near flames or other heat sources, including direct sunlight.
• This product is for indoor use only. Do not expose to drips or splashes, and do not place liquid-filled objects (e.g., vases) on top.
• Do not place the product on top of other electrical appliances.
• If the power cable is damaged, replace it with an approved cable for your country.
• Do not place open flames (e.g., candles) on the appliance.
• The plug and connector are used to interrupt power and must remain accessible.

Important Notes

• To prevent overheating, do not expose the speaker to direct sunlight or near other heat sources.
• Do not use the speaker in humid or dusty environments, as it may be damaged.
• The range between the speaker and receiver is measured in open spaces without obstacles.
• Wireless connection range may vary based on building materials and unit placement.
• Listening at excessively high volumes can damage your hearing.
• Do not touch the acoustic components.
• Do not use the product as a stand or shelf.
• Refer to the bottom of the product for important markings.

Care Instructions

• To clean the speaker, disconnect it from the power outlet first.
• Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the speaker in water.
• Dry with a soft cloth before reconnecting to power.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as they can damage the product.
