Installing the Nexxt Solutions Home App

Follow these steps to set up your camera:

Step 1: Download and Register

Download the Nexxt Home app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and register by email. If you prefer, you can register by phone (US only) by selecting 'Register by phone' on the top right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Enter Verification Code

Enter the verification code sent to your email.

Step 3: Set Password

Create a new password (6-20 characters, including letters and numbers) and select 'Completed'.

Step 4: App Installation Complete

The Nexxt Solutions Home App has been successfully installed.

Step 5: Configure Home and Rooms

Assign a 'Home Name' and 'Family Location'. Select 'Add Other Rooms' to name additional rooms as needed. Select 'Save' to store your settings.

Device Setup

Plug In

Connect the camera using the provided AC adapter. After approximately 30 seconds, you will hear a tone indicating the camera has started. After another 10 seconds, a second tone will sound, indicating the camera is ready for pairing. If you do not hear the tones, hold the reset button for 8 seconds to reset the device.

Add Device

Step 1: Select Device

In the Nexxt Home app, select 'Add device', then choose the smart camera you wish to install.

Step 2: Reset Device

Ensure the device is reset and the indicator is blinking rapidly or a prompt tone is heard. Select 'next step'.

Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi

Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your network password. Ensure you are using the 2.4GHz band, as 5GHz networks are not supported.

Step 4: Scan QR Code

Select 'Continue' to display the QR code. Scan the QR code with your smart camera from 15-20 cm away. Once the camera emits a tone, click the 'I Heard a Prompt' button.

Step 5: Finalize Setup

If pairing is successful, a 'Device added successfully' notification will appear. Click the pencil icon ✏️ to rename your camera and select 'Save' to store the settings.

Troubleshooting: If you encounter issues, reset the camera. If a registered account added the camera, other users require explicit permission via the 'Share access' option.

Camera Settings

Access various features and settings through the Nexxt Home app:

• Full screen: Switches to full screen viewing mode.
• Screenshot: Captures a still image of the camera's current view. ?
• Speak: Enables voice communication through the camera's microphone. ?
• Record: Starts recording video. ▶️
• Playback: Watch recorded videos if a microSD™ card is installed.
• Gallery: View all recorded videos and photos stored locally or in the cloud. ?
• Theme color: Customize the app interface (light or dark mode). Dark mode is recommended for battery saving.
• Private mode: Puts the camera in sleep mode, blocking the lens, recording, and microphone for enhanced privacy when at home. ?
• HDR: High Dynamic Range technology improves scene quality by enhancing brightness and contrast.
• Motion tracking: Enables automatic tracking and anti-theft functions. The camera follows detected motion and can trigger alerts.
• Motion detection settings: Turn motion detection on/off, adjust sensitivity (Low, Medium, High), and configure zone activity monitoring, human body filtering, and motion tracking. Alarm timers can be scheduled.
• Unified controls: Set up shortcuts to control other compatible smart devices.
• Messages: View a list of push notifications sent to your mobile device. ✉️
• Direction: Manually move the camera left, right, up, or down. ⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️
• Cloud storage: Access photos and videos from anywhere with an optional subscription plan. ☁️
• HD/SD: Switch between High Definition and Standard Definition.
• Mute: Mutes the camera's microphone.
• Settings: Access general camera settings. ⚙️

Settings Menu Details

Device Information

This section displays details such as Owner, IP address, Device ID, Time Zone, and Signal Strength.

Basic Function Settings

• Flip screen: Rotates the image 180 degrees if the camera is mounted upside down.
• Talk mode: Allows One-Way or Two-Way audio communication.
• Time watermark: Enables or disables the time and date stamp on live streams and recordings.

Motion Detection Settings

Configure motion detection features, including sensitivity levels, zone monitoring, and tracking.

Memory Card Settings

• Total capacity: Displays the total size of the microSD™ card.
• Used: Shows the amount of memory currently used.
• Remaining capacity: Indicates the available space on the microSD™ card.
• Local recording: Set the camera to record continuously 24/7. Recording duration depends on card capacity.
• Recording mode: Choose between 'Event Recording' and 'Continuous Recording'.
• Format: Formats the microSD™ card for use with the camera.
• Schedule: Program when recording should be active or inactive.

Value-added Service (VAS)

Access cloud storage for photos and videos with an optional subscription plan.

Offline Notification

Enable or disable notifications for when the device has been offline for 30 minutes or due to a power outage.

Feedback

Provide feedback or report any issues encountered during setup or use.

Add to Home Screen

Create a shortcut on your mobile device's home screen for quick access to the camera's main controls.

Share Device

Allow other users to access the camera by adding them via their Nexxt Home account using their email address or phone number. Select 'Completed' to finalize.

Device Update

Update the camera's firmware to access new features and improvements. Automatic updates can be enabled.
