Installation and Mounting Manual: EK-Vector RTX Aorus 2080 Ti Backplate

Step 1: General Information

Step 2: Preparing Your Graphics Card
EK-Vector RTX Aorus 2080 is very easy to install. First install EK-Vector RTX Aorus 2080 Ti series water block according to its installation manual. If you have it already installed, please check the diagram below to see which mounting screws are to be left in their position and which are to be removed. The diagram indicates that six (6) M2.5x4 AX1 screws and their PVC washers, marked with arrows [arrow], are to be removed.

Step 3: Applying the Thermal Pads
EK-Vector RTX Aorus 2080 Ti features passive cooling of the printed circuit board and its components, therefore it is mandatory to install the enclosed thermal pads. Please install the enclosed 1.5mm thick thermal pad (Thermal Pad F – 1.5mm (120x16)) and the 2mm thick thermal pad (Thermal Pad F – 2mm (120x16)) as shown on the picture below. You may need to trim the excess thermal pad.

Step 4: Attaching EK-Vector RTX Aorus 2080 Ti to the Graphics Card
Take enclosed mounting screws and install them as shown on the picture below. Use six (6) M2.5x7 AX1 screws, and tighten them using a Philips head screwdriver [screwdriver].
HINT: Do not tighten screws until they are all positioned in their mounting holes. The backplate has milled-in standoffs, so there is no fear of over-tightening of the screws. Nevertheless, do not exaggerate with screwing force as there is no need for it.
By all means, users must also consider that this product is intended to be used only with EK-Vector RTX Aorus 2080 Ti series water blocks. No other 3rd party heat sinks or coolers are officially supported! EK does not offer any assistance or support in the latter application.

After installation, it is recommended to perform a leak test of the cooling circuit for 24 hours before powering up the computer. Do not use city water pressure for testing, as this can damage the water block and void the warranty. While EK Water Blocks strives for accuracy, they assume no liability for consequential damages resulting from the use of their cooling products, whether due to errors in instructions or product defects.
Warranty
EK Water Blocks warrants products against defects in materials or workmanship for 24 months from the delivery date. Repairs or replacements will be made at EKWB's discretion under specific conditions: product return to the point of purchase, purchase by an end-user for non-commercial purposes, and proper use according to instructions. This warranty does not affect statutory consumer rights and does not cover consequential loss or damage. It is voided by contact with aggressive UV additives or improper liquids. A warranty void circular label indicates the block has passed a leak test; removing it voids the leak-free guarantee but not the product guarantee.
