Please remove your graphics card from the computer to assure safest mounting process in order to prevent any possible damages to your GPU and/or graphics card circuit board (PCB).

Backplate Dimensions
The backplate has the following dimensions: Length: 276.95 mm, Width: 99.80 mm, Thickness: 5.20 mm.

Installing the Backplate
Step 1: Preparing Your Graphics Card
First, complete the installation of your EK-Quantum Vector XC3 RTX 3070 D-RGB water block according to its installation manual. If the water block is already installed, remove the seven (7) AX1 screws and their PVC washers. These screws and washers are marked in the diagram.
Step 2: Cutting and Placing Thermal Pads
Your backplate is supplied with thermal pads that need to be cut into smaller pieces to cover all VRM components. EK provides an adequate quantity of thermal pads for this step.
PLEASE REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE FOIL FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE THERMAL PADS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
Replacement thermal pads:
- 1x Thermal PAD G 1.0 mm - (120 x 24 mm) – EAN: 33830046996770
- 2x Thermal PAD G 1.5 mm - (120 x 24 mm) – EAN: 3830046996787
- 1x Thermal PAD G 2.0 mm - (120 x 24 mm) – EAN: 3830046996794
For the XC3 RTX 3070, the thermal pads should be applied to the backplate as shown in the diagram, covering specific areas of the PCB.
Step 3: Attaching the Backplate
Place the backplate onto the PCB, aligning all of the holes. Position an M2.5 x 8 AX1 screw in each of the (7) mounting holes indicated and then tighten them evenly using a Phillips head screwdriver. Do not use excessive force!
For this step, you will need:

Important Notice
Once the installation is completed, it is recommended to test the cooling circuit for leaks prior to powering up the computer. A 24-hour leak test is recommended. Do not test the water block using city water pressure, as this can rupture the housing and void the warranty. EK Water Blocks assumes no liability for consequential damages resulting from the use of its cooling products, whether due to errors or omissions in instructions or product defects.
Warranty
EK products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 24 months from the date of delivery. Products will be repaired or have parts replaced at EK's discretion, provided the product is returned to the point of purchase, was bought by an end-user for non-commercial purposes, and has not been misused or handled carelessly. This warranty offers additional benefits and does not affect statutory consumer rights. The warranty is void if the product contacts aggressive UV additives or other improper liquids.
