Installation
This section provides installation guidelines for AEG/Electrolux ovens. Two main installation types are detailed:
Built Under Installation
Diagrams show required cabinet dimensions and cut-out sizes for installing the oven under a countertop. Key dimensions include:
- Width: 600 mm
- Depth: min. 560 mm
- Height: min. 550 mm
- Niche dimensions are provided with tolerances.
Electrical connection details are shown, including the need for a power supply (H05 V V - F) and specific cable requirements.

Column Installation
Similar to built-under, but for installation within a tall cabinet (column). Diagrams show specific dimensions for column installation, including:
- Width: 600 mm

1. Safety Information
Before installation and use, carefully read all supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for injuries or damage resulting from incorrect installation or usage. Keep instructions in a safe, accessible location.
1.1 Children and vulnerable people safety
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, if they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the hazards.
- Children under 8 years and persons with extensive disabilities must be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance or mobile devices.
- Keep packaging away from children and dispose of it properly.
- WARNING: Accessible parts become hot during use. Keep children and pets away.
- Activate child safety device if available.
- Children must not perform cleaning or maintenance without supervision.
1.2 General Safety
- This appliance is for cooking purposes only.
- Designed for single household domestic use in an indoor environment.
- May be used in offices, hotel guest rooms, B&Bs, farm guest houses, and similar accommodations if usage does not exceed average domestic levels.
- Only a qualified person should install or replace the cable.
- Do not use before installing in a built-in structure.
- Disconnect from power supply before maintenance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an Authorised Service Centre, or similarly qualified persons to avoid electrical hazards.
- WARNING: Ensure appliance is switched off before replacing the lamp to avoid electric shock.
- WARNING: Accessible parts become hot. Avoid touching heating elements or cavity surfaces.
- Always use oven gloves for accessories or ovenware.
2. Safety Instructions
2.1 Installation
- WARNING! Only a qualified person must install this appliance.
- Remove all packaging.
- Do not install or use a damaged appliance.
- Follow installation instructions available on the website.
- Take care when moving the appliance; it is heavy. Use safety gloves and enclosed footwear.
- Do not pull the appliance by the handle.
- Install in a safe, suitable place meeting installation requirements.
- Maintain minimum distance from other appliances and units.
- Before mounting, check if the appliance door opens without restraint.
- The appliance has an electric cooling system and must be operated with electric power.
2.2 Electrical connection
- WARNING! Risk of fire and electric shock.
- All electrical connections by a qualified electrician.
- The appliance must be earthed.
- Ensure rating plate parameters match mains power supply ratings.
- Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket.
- Do not use multi-plug adapters or extension cables.
- Avoid damaging the mains plug and cable. Cable replacement by an Authorised Service Centre.
- Keep mains cables away from the appliance door or niche, especially when hot.
- Shock protection of live/insulated parts must be secured and not removable without tools.
- Connect the mains plug to the socket only at the end of installation. Ensure plug access.
- If the mains socket is loose, do not connect.
- Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect; pull the plug.
- Use correct isolation devices (cut-outs, fuses, earth leakage trips, contactors).
- Electrical installation must have an isolation device with a minimum 3 mm contact opening width at all poles.
- Fully close the appliance door before connecting the mains plug.
- Appliance supplied with a main plug and cable.
2.3 Use
- WARNING! Risk of injury, burns, electric shock, or explosion.
- Do not change appliance specifications.
- Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked.
- Do not leave unattended during operation.
- Deactivate after each use.
- Open door carefully during operation; hot air can release.
- Do not operate with wet hands or contact with water.
- Do not apply pressure on the open door.
- Do not use as a work or storage surface.
- Open door carefully; alcohol-based ingredients can create alcohol-air mixtures.
- Keep sparks or open flames away from the appliance when opening the door.
- Always use glass and jars approved for preserving.
- Do not place flammable products or wet items near or on the appliance.
- Do not share Wi-Fi password.
- WARNING! Risk of damage to the appliance.
- To prevent enamel damage/discoloration:
- Do not place ovenware or objects directly on the bottom.
- Do not place aluminium foil directly on the bottom of the cavity.
- Do not put water directly into the hot appliance.
- Do not keep moist dishes/food after cooking.
- Be careful when removing/installing accessories.
- Enamel/stainless steel discoloration does not affect performance.
- Use a deep pan for moist cakes. Fruit juices can cause permanent stains.
- Always cook with the door closed.
- If installed behind a furniture panel (door), ensure the panel door is never closed when the appliance operates to prevent heat/moisture buildup and damage. Wait until cooled before closing the furniture panel.
2.4 Care and cleaning
- WARNING! Risk of injury, fire, or damage.
- Before maintenance, deactivate and disconnect the mains plug.
- Ensure appliance is cold; glass panels may break.
- Replace damaged door glass panels immediately; contact Authorised Service Centre.
- Be careful when removing the door; it is heavy.
- Clean regularly to prevent surface deterioration.
- Clean with a moist soft cloth, neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, pads, solvents, or metal objects.
- Follow safety instructions if using oven spray.
2.5 Pyrolytic cleaning
- WARNING! Risk of Injury / Fires / Chemical Emissions (Fumes) in Pyrolytic Mode.
- Before pyrolytic cleaning and preheating:
- Remove excess food residues, oil, or grease spills.
- Remove all removable objects (shelves, side rails, non-stick pots, pans, trays, utensils).
- Read all pyrolytic cleaning instructions carefully.
- Keep children away during operation; appliance becomes very hot, hot air is released from front cooling vents.
- Pyrolytic cleaning releases fumes from residues and materials; ensure good ventilation during and after cleaning/preheating.
- Do not spill water on the oven door during/after cleaning to avoid damaging glass panels.
- Fumes are not harmful to humans, children, or those with medical conditions.
- Keep pets away; small pets can be sensitive to temperature changes and fumes.
- Non-stick surfaces on cookware can be damaged by high temperatures and may release fumes.
2.6 Internal lighting
- WARNING! Risk of electric shock.
- Lamps are designed for appliance conditions (temperature, vibration, humidity) and signalling, not room illumination.
- Product light source is energy efficiency class G.
- Use only lamps with the same specifications.
2.7 Service
- Contact Authorised Service Centre for repairs.
- Use original spare parts only.
2.8 Disposal
- WARNING! Risk of injury or suffocation.
- Contact municipal authority for disposal information.
- Disconnect from mains supply.
- Cut off mains electrical cable close to appliance and dispose of it.
3. Product Description
3.1 General overview
The oven features:
- 1. Control panel: For operating the appliance.
- 2. Display: Shows current settings and information.
- 3. Socket for the food sensor: Connection point for the food sensor.
- 4. Heating element: Provides heat for cooking.
- 5. Lamp: Illuminates the oven interior.
- 6. Fan: Distributes heat evenly.
- 7. Shelf support, removable: Supports oven shelves.
- 8. Shelf positions: Slots for placing shelves at different levels.
3.2 Accessories
- Wire shelf: For cake tins, ovenproof dishes, roast dishes, cookware/dishes.
- Baking tray: For moist cakes, baked items, bread, large roasts, frozen meals, and catching drips.
- Grill-/Roasting pan: For baking, roasting, or collecting fat.
- Food Sensor: Controls cooking based on internal food temperature.
- Telescopic runners: For easier insertion and removal of trays and shelves.
4. Control Panel
4.1 Control panel overview
The control panel includes:
- 1. ON/OFF: Press and hold to turn the appliance on/off.
- 2. Menu: Access appliance options and settings.
- 3. Favourites: Access saved favourite settings.
- 4. Display: Shows current appliance settings.
- 5. Lamp switch: Turns the oven lamp on/off.
- 6. Fast Heat Up: Activates rapid preheating.
4.2 Display
The display shows key functions and settings:
- A. Wi-Fi: Indicates Wi-Fi connection status.
- B. Time of Day: Displays the current time.
- C. START/STOP: Starts or stops cooking programs.
- D. Temperature: Shows set or current temperature.
- E. Heating functions: Selects cooking modes.
- F. Timer: Sets cooking duration.
- G. Food Sensor: (Selected models only) For monitoring food temperature.
Display indicators:
- OK: Confirm selection/setting.
- Back arrow: Go one level back in the menu.
- Undo arrow: Undo the last action.
- Power symbol: Turn options on/off.
- Bell symbol: Sound alarm activated.
- STOP symbol: Sound alarm and stop cooking activated.
- Pop-up message: Pop-up message only activated.
- Delayed start symbol: Delayed start function activated.
- Cancel symbol (X): Cancel setting.
- Wi-Fi symbol: Wi-Fi connection turned on.
- Remote operation symbol: Remote operation turned on.
5. Before First Use
5.1 First connection
Upon first connection, the display shows a welcome message. You need to set:
- Language
- Display Brightness
- Key Tones
- Buzzer Volume
- Time of Day
5.2 Wireless connection
To connect the appliance:
- You need a wireless network with internet connection.
- Your mobile device must be connected to the same wireless network.
- Download the AEG app by scanning the QR code on the back cover of the manual or from your app store.
- Follow the app's onboarding instructions.
- Turn on the appliance.
- Press [Menu] button.
- Select Settings / Connections.
- Use the slider or press to turn Wi-Fi on/off. The wireless module starts within 90 seconds.
For safety, remote operation turns off automatically after 24 hours. Repeat onboarding if needed.

5.3 Software licences
This product contains free and open-source software components. AEG acknowledges contributions from the open software community. Access source code and license terms at: aeg.opensoftwarerepository.com (folder NIUS).
5.4 Initial preheating and cleaning
Preheat the empty appliance before first use to remove any manufacturing smells. Ventilate the room during preheating.
- Remove all accessories and shelf supports.
- Set a heating function and maximum temperature; let operate for 1 hour.
- Set another heating function and maximum temperature; let operate for 15 minutes.
- Turn off and let cool.
- Clean with a microfibre cloth, warm water, and mild detergent.
- Replace accessories and shelf supports.
6. Daily Use
6.1 Heating functions
The oven offers various heating functions:
STANDARD
- Grill: For grilling thin food pieces and toasting bread.
- Turbo Grilling: For roasting large meat joints or poultry on one shelf; also for baking gratins and browning.
- True Fan Cooking: For roasting meat and baking cakes. Uses lower temperature than conventional cooking due to even heat distribution by the fan.
- Frozen Foods: Ideal for ready meals like french fries or croquettes.
- Conventional Cooking: For baking and roasting on one shelf position.
- Pizza Function: Best for pizza and dishes requiring more heat from below.
- Bottom Heat: For browning food on the bottom after cooking. Use the lowest shelf level.
- Bread Baking: For baking bread.
SPECIALS
- Dough Proving: Speeds up yeast dough rising. Cover dough to prevent drying.
- Preserving: For preserving fruits/vegetables. Place jars in a water-filled baking tray. Use lowest shelf position.
- Dehydrating: For drying sliced fruit, vegetables, mushrooms. Opening the door occasionally helps moisture escape.
- Plate Warming: For preheating plates.
- Defrost: For defrosting food (vegetables, fruit). Time depends on amount and size.
- Au Gratin: For dishes like lasagna or potato gratin.
Note: The oven lamp may turn off automatically below 80°C during some heating functions.
6.2 Notes on: Moist Fan Baking
This function complies with energy efficiency class and ecodesign requirements. Tested according to IEC/EN 60350-1.
Keep the oven door closed during cooking for optimal energy efficiency. The lamp turns off automatically after 30 seconds. Refer to "Hints and Tips" for cooking instructions and "Energy Efficiency" for saving tips.
6.3 Setting: Heating functions
- Turn on the appliance.
- Press the heating function symbol to enter the submenu.
- Select the heating function and press OK.
- Set the temperature and press OK.
- Press START.
Food Sensor can be plugged in anytime before or during cooking. Refer to "Using the accessories, Food sensor".
Press [STOP] to turn off the heating function. Turn off the appliance.
6.4 Menu

6.5 Setting: Assisted Cooking
Assisted Cooking offers programmes for specific dishes. Settings can be adjusted during cooking. Some dishes support Food Sensor or Weight Automatic.
- Turn on the appliance.
- Press [Menu].
- Press [Assisted Cooking].
- Choose a dish or food type.
- Place food inside and press START.
Check food readiness when the function ends; extend cooking time if needed.
7. Additional Functions
7.1 Favourites
Save up to 3 favourite settings (heating function, cooking time).
- Turn on the appliance.
- Select preferred setting.
- Press [Menu].
- Select Favourites / Save current settings.
- Press [+] to add to Favourites.
- Press OK.
Press [-] to reset setting. Press [X] to cancel setting.
7.2 Function lock
Prevents accidental function changes.
- Turn on the appliance.
- Set a heating function.
- Press [symbol] and [symbol] simultaneously to turn on/off.
7.3 Child Lock
Prevents accidental appliance activation.
- Turn on the appliance.
- Press [Menu].
- Select Options / Child Lock.
- Enter code letters alphabetically. Child Lock is activated.
Access to Timer, Wi-Fi, and Lamp is available when Child Lock is active. To enable appliance use, enter code letters alphabetically. The door locks when Child Lock is active and the appliance is turned off.
7.4 Automatic switch-off
For safety, the appliance turns off automatically after a set period if no settings are changed during heating functions.

To run a function longer than the automatic switch-off time, set the cooking time (refer to 'Clock functions'). Automatic switch-off does not apply to Light, Food Sensor, or End time functions.
7.5 Cooling fan
The cooling fan operates automatically to keep surfaces cool. It may continue to run after the appliance is turned off until it cools down.
8. Clock Functions
8.1 Clock functions description
Function | Description |
Timer | Sets cooking length (max 23h 59min). Set End Action for when time is up. |
Delayed start | Postpones start and/or end of cooking. |
Time Extension | Extends cooking time. |
Uptimer | Shows appliance operating time (max 23h 59min). Can be turned on/off; does not affect operation. |
End Action Options:
- Sound Alarm: Signal sounds when time is up. Can be set anytime.
- Sound Alarm and stop cooking: Signal sounds and heating function turns off.
- Pop up message only: Message appears on display when time is up. Can be set anytime.
8.2 Setting: Time of Day
- Turn on the appliance.
- Press [Time of Day].
- Set the time.
- Press OK.
8.3 Setting: Timer
- Choose heating function and set temperature.
- Press [Timer symbol].
- Set the time. Select End action by pressing [symbol].
- Press OK. Repeat until main screen appears.
If food is not ready with 10% cooking time left, extend time or change heating function. Press [+1min] to extend.
8.4 Setting: Delayed start
- Set heating function and temperature.
- Press [Delayed start symbol].
- Set cooking time.
- Press [Delayed start].
- Choose desired start time.
- Press OK. Repeat until main screen appears.
8.5 Setting: Uptimer
- Press [Menu].
- Press [Settings].
- Press [Uptimer].
- Slide or press [Up/Down arrows] to show running time on main screen.
- Press OK. Repeat until main screen appears.
8.6 Changing timer settings
Timer settings can be changed during cooking.
- Press [Timer symbol].
- Set new timer value.
- Press OK.
9. Using the Accessories
9.1 Inserting accessories
The oven has indentations for safety and tilt protection. The rim prevents cookware from slipping.
- Wire shelf: Insert between guide bars, ensuring it touches the back of the oven interior.
- Baking tray / Deep pan: Push between guide bars, with the slope towards the back of the oven interior.
9.2 Food Sensor
Measures internal food temperature. Use with any heating function. Set two temperatures: appliance internal temperature (at least 25°C higher than food core temp) and food core temperature.
Recommendations:
- Ingredients should be at room temperature.
- Do not use for liquid dishes.
- Ensure the sensor needle is fully inserted during cooking. The appliance calculates an estimated end time based on food quantity, function, and temperature.
Cooking with: Food Sensor
- WARNING! Food Sensor and shelf supports become hot. Do not touch the handle with bare hands; use oven gloves.
- Turn on the appliance.
- Set heating function and oven temperature if needed.
- Insert Food Sensor into the dish (e.g., Meat, poultry, fish).
- Plug Food Sensor into the socket inside the appliance. The display shows the current food temperature.
- Press [symbol] to set the core temperature.
- Press [symbol] to set the preferred option:
- Sound Alarm: Signal sounds when core temperature is reached.
- Sound Alarm and stop cooking: Signal sounds and cooking stops when core temperature is reached.
- Select option and press OK repeatedly to return to the main screen.
- Press START.
When the set temperature is reached, a signal sounds. Check food readiness and extend cooking time if needed. Remove Food Sensor plug and dish when done.
10. Hints and Tips
10.1 Cooking recommendations
Temperature and cooking times are guidance only, depending on recipes and ingredients. Settings for temperature, cooking time, and shelf position are provided for specific food types. Count shelf positions from the bottom. Refer to website for more recommendations and check the PNC number on the rating plate for specific Cooking Hints.

Use dark, non-reflective tins and containers for better heat absorption.

11. Care and Cleaning
11.1 Notes on cleaning
Cleaning Agents
- Clean appliance front with a microfibre cloth, warm water, and mild detergent.
- Use a cleaning solution for metal surfaces.
- Clean stains with a mild detergent.
Everyday Use
- Clean interior after each use to prevent fat accumulation fires.
- Do not store food longer than 20 minutes. Dry interior with a microfibre cloth after each use.
Accessories
- Clean all accessories after each use and let dry. Use a microfibre cloth, warm water, and mild detergent. Do not clean in a dishwasher.
- Do not clean non-stick accessories with abrasive cleaners or sharp objects.
11.2 Removing the shelf supports
Remove shelf supports for cleaning.
- Turn off and wait until appliance is cold.
- Pull the front of the shelf support away from the side wall.
- Pull the rear end away and remove it.
- Install in the opposite sequence. Retaining pins on telescopic runners must point forward.
11.3 Pyrolytic Cleaning
Use to clean the appliance and burn off residues.
- WARNING! Risk of burns.
- CAUTION! Do not use if other appliances in the same cabinet are operating simultaneously, as it can cause damage.
- Do not start if the oven door is not fully closed.
- Ensure appliance is cold.
- Remove all accessories and shelf supports.
- Clean oven interior and inner door glass with warm water, soft cloth, and mild detergent.
- Turn on the appliance.
- Press [Menu] / Cleaning.
- Select cleaning mode (quick: 1h, normal: 1h 30min, intense: 3h).
During cleaning, the door locks, lamp is off, and cooling fan runs faster. Press [STOP] to stop cleaning. Do not use until the door lock symbol disappears. After cleaning, turn off and wait until cold.

A reminder will prompt when cleaning is recommended. Use Pyrolytic Cleaning function.
11.5 Removing and installing door
The door and internal glass panels can be removed for cleaning. The number of glass panels varies by model.
- WARNING! The door is heavy.
- CAUTION! Handle glass carefully, especially edges, as it can break.
- Ensure appliance is cold.
- Fully open the door.
- Press clamping levers [A] on the door hinges.
- Close the oven door to an approximate 70° angle.
- Hold the door on each side and pull it away from the oven at an upward angle.
- Place the door outer side down on a soft cloth.
- Hold the door trim [B] on the top edge and push inwards to release the clip seal.
- Pull the door trim to the front.
- Hold door glass panels by their top edge and pull them up out of the guide, one by one.
- Clean glass panels with water and soap; dry carefully. Do not clean in dishwasher.
- Reassemble by reversing the steps: smaller panel first, then larger, then the door.
11.6 Replacing the lamp
- WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Lamp can be hot.
- Turn off appliance and wait until cold.
- Disconnect from mains.
- Place a cloth on the oven floor.
Top lamp
- Turn the glass cover to remove it.
- Clean the glass cover.
- Replace lamp with a suitable 300°C heat-resistant lamp.
- Install the glass cover.
Side lamp
- Remove left shelf support for access.
- Use a narrow, blunt object (e.g., teaspoon) to remove the glass cover.
- Clean the glass cover.
- Replace lamp with a suitable 300°C heat-resistant lamp.
- Install the glass cover.
- Install the left shelf support.
12. Troubleshooting
12.1 What to do if...

Note: Power cut stops cleaning. Repeat if interrupted by power failure.
Wireless Network Issues
- Trouble with wireless network signal: Check mobile device connection to wireless network and router. Restart router.
- New router or configuration changed: Refer to "Before First Use" chapter for appliance and mobile device configuration.
- Weak wireless network signal: Move router closer to appliance.
- Signal disrupted by microwave oven: Turn off microwave oven. Avoid using microwave oven and remote operation simultaneously, as microwaves disrupt Wi-Fi.

13.3 Energy saving tips
- Ensure the appliance door is closed during operation. Avoid frequent opening. Keep the door gasket clean and properly fitted.
- Use metal cookware and dark, non-reflective tins/containers.
- Do not preheat unless specifically recommended.
- Keep breaks between baking short when preparing multiple dishes.
- Use fan cooking functions when possible.
- Use residual heat: Reduce temperature 3-10 minutes before end of cooking. Residual heat continues cooking. Use it to keep food warm or warm up other dishes. The display shows residual heat/temperature when turned off.
- For programs with Duration longer than 30 min, heating elements may turn off earlier.
- Keep food warm: Use the lowest possible temperature setting to utilize residual heat.
- Cooking with the lamp off: Turn off the lamp during cooking; turn it on only when needed.
- Moist Fan Baking: Designed for energy saving. Lamp turns off automatically after 30 sec. Turning it back on reduces savings.
- Standby mode: Display switches to standby after 2 minutes.
