Important Safeguards

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including:

WARNING: Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Prevent unintentional starting: Ensure the switch is in the off-position before picking up or carrying the appliance.
  • Do not touch the nozzle when the vacuum cleaner is on.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Keep openings free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.

  • To avoid excessive heat and damage, the vacuum cleaner will not operate while charging.
  • Do not allow children to use the vacuum as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  • Use only as described in this manual and with manufacturer's recommended attachments.
  • Recharge only with the specified charger. Using an incorrect charger may create a fire risk.
  • Do not pull or carry the charger by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or pull the cord around sharp edges. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • This charger is not intended for use by travelers.
  • Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current-carrying capacity.
  • To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle the charger or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
  • Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs. Using other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • DO NOT MUTILATE OR INCINERATE BATTERIES. They become dangerous at high temperatures.
  • Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns. Seek medical attention if it contacts skin. Wash skin with soap and water and neutralize with mild acid like lemon juice or vinegar. Flush eyes with clean water for at least 10 minutes.
  • Keep battery pack away from metal objects (paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws) when not in use to prevent shorting terminals, which can cause burns or fire.
  • This product functions within a temperature range of 40°F - 104°F.
  • Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified.
  • Do not expose the battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature (above 266°F).
  • Follow all charging instructions and do not charge outside the specified temperature range.
  • Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
  • Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or battery pack except as indicated in the instructions.
  • Keep battery and vacuum terminals clean and free of objects. Do not insert metal objects into terminals.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and body parts away from openings and moving parts.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking (cigarettes, matches, hot ashes).
  • Do not use without filters in place.
  • Use extra care when cleaning stairs.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids (like gasoline) or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Store vacuum cleaner and charger indoors in a cool, dry area. Do not expose to weather elements.
  • Keep your work area well lit. Unplug electrical appliances before vacuuming them.
  • Avoid overcharging, short circuiting, reverse charging, mutilating, or incinerating cells and batteries.
  • If a cell or battery has leaked or vented, replace it immediately using protective gloves.
  • Replace cells or batteries with identical new ones from the same manufacturer. If batteries are connected in series, replace them all at the same time.
  • Avoid reverse polarity installation of cells or batteries.
