Before First Use
Remove all packaging materials. Fill the kettle with water to the MAX line and bring to a boil. When the unit completes the boiling cycle, discard the water and repeat the process 2 to 3 times. This will remove any dust or residue remaining from the manufacturing process.
Operating Instructions
- Fill the kettle with water such that the water level is between the MAX and MIN marks. Do not overfill the appliance. After filling, ensure the lid is tightly closed.
- Place the kettle on the power base. Ensure the kettle body and base are dry.
- Check that the electrical voltage matches the kettle's requirements (refer to the label on the base).
- Switch on the machine.
Basic Operation:
Press the function key [power-button] once. The appliance will emit a "Di" sound, and the green indicator light will illuminate. The kettle will begin heating. After boiling, the indicator light changes to red, and a "Di-Di" sound is emitted.
Note: The knob light will turn off five minutes after the water has boiled.
Water Heating Function:
While the kettle is heating, rotate the function key to select your desired water temperature from the following options: 104°F/122°F/140°F/158°F/176°F/194°F/212°F.
Once the target temperature is reached, the indicator light will change to red, and a "Di-Di" sound will be emitted.
Keep Warm Function:
Press and hold the function key for three seconds. A "Di" sound confirms the keep warm function has started, and the green indicator light will illuminate. The display will show the current temperature. Rotate the function manual key to select the desired temperature to maintain (same options as water heating).
The keep warm function will stop automatically after two hours.
Always ensure the kettle is off before removing it from the base. Do not open the lid while pouring water.
Maintenance and Descaling
- Always remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning the kettle.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn spots, use a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
- Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids.
- Over time, scale deposits may form on the interior and heating element, reducing efficiency. This depends on water hardness and usage frequency.
- Boiled scale is not harmful but can affect taste. Periodically descale the kettle.
Descaling Process:
- Fill the kettle to the "max" level with a 1:2 mixture of ordinary vinegar and water.
- Leave the mixture inside overnight.
- Discard the mixture the next morning.
- Fill the kettle with clean water to the "max" mark and boil again.
- Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
- Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
