Congratulations on becoming part of the Joie family! We are so excited to be part of your life with your little one. While using the Joie Cheer™, your baby is enjoying a high quality, fully certified playpen, approved to European safety standards EN 12227:2010. This product is suitable for use with children weighing under 15kg (approximately 0-4 years). Please carefully read this manual and follow each step to ensure a comfortable sleeping and best protection for your child.

Emergency

In case of emergency or accident, it is most important to have your child taken care of with first aid and medical treatment immediately.

Warnings

• Adult assembly required.
• Please save instruction manual for future reference.
• Read all the instructions in this manual before using product.
• Discontinue using playpen when child reaches 15kg (approximately 86cm in height) or is able to climb out.
• Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in danger.
• Warning: Do not use the playpen if any part is broken, torn or missing and use only spare parts approved by the manufacturer.
• NEVER leave your child unattended. Always keep your child in view.
• Use the playpen with only one child at a time.
• Do not use more than one mattress in the playpen.
• DO NOT leave anything in the playpen or place the playpen close to another product, which could provide a foothold or present a danger of suffocation or strangulation, e.g. strings, blind curtain cords etc.
• Always use playpen on a flat, level floor.
• Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc in the near vicinity of the playpen.
• To avoid strangulation, DO NOT place items with a string around your child's neck, suspend strings from this product, or attach strings to toys.
• All assembly fittings should always be tightened properly and that fittings should be checked regularly and retightened as necessary.
• Regularly inspect the product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges.
• DO NOT move the playpen with your child in it.
• Make sure the product has been folded or unfolded completely before letting your child approach the playpen.
• Should the padded rim be split or bitten through to expose the padding, do not use the playpen.
• The playpen is ready for use only when the locking mechanisms are engaged and to check carefully that they are fully engaged before using the folding playpen.
• You must follow the instructions in this manual when using the playpen.
• To avoid suffocation, remove plastic bag and packaging materials before using this product. The plastic bag and packaging materials should then be kept away from babies and children.
• Always make sure to close the opening by the zipper before placing the child into the playpen.
• Only use the mattress sold with this playpen, do not add a second mattress on this one, suffocation hazards.
• WARNING: Do not use the playpen without the base.
• Accessories which are not approved by the manufacturer shall not be used. Only replacement parts supplied or recommended by the manufacturer shall be used.
• Do not place the playpen close to an open fire or other heat source.
• Ensure that the playpen is fully erected and all the locking mechanisms engaged before placing your child in this playpen.

Playpen Assembly

Please read all the instructions in this manual before setting up and using this product.

1. Undo the three velcro straps. [Diagram shows undoing velcro straps]
2. Pull the top rails up until both become rigid. If not rigid, pull up again until they are rigid. [Diagram shows pulling rails up]
3. Latch the rails. [Diagram shows latching rails]
4. Push the center of floor down. [Diagram shows pushing floor down]
5. Install mattress. [Diagram shows placing mattress]
6. Closing the mesh opening. [Diagram shows closing zipper]

Fold Playpen

1. Remove the mattress. [Diagram shows removing mattress]
2. Pull the folding webbing upward. [Diagram shows pulling strap]
3. Unlock all four rails by following these steps:
   1. Slightly lift the center of the rails. [Diagram shows lifting center]
   2. Squeeze the latch button on the rail to release the two tubes. [Diagram shows squeezing latch]
4. Fold the unit, but do not force. [Diagram shows folding playpen]
5. Wrap the playpen with the mattress. Guide the hook and loop fasteners through the rings and attach them. [Diagram shows wrapping with mattress and fastening]

Cover Playpen

Cover the playpen by following these steps.

1. Place the mattress, with handle facing the zipper on the carrybag.
2. Cover unit with carrybag, and then zip together. [Diagram shows zipping carry bag]
3. Pull the handle out from carrybag. The carrybag and the playpen will be lifted together.

Use Toy

Care and Maintenance

1. The covering material is not removable.
2. Your playpen can be spot cleaned with a sponge and soapy water.
3. Do not use undiluted neutral detergent, gasoline or other organic solvent to wash the playpen. It may cause damage to the playpen.
4. To wash carry bag, machine wash in lukewarm water and drip-dry. Do not use bleach.
5. At the beach or in the garden, clean sand and grit off your playpen. Sand in the rail locks may cause damage.
6. From time to time, check your playpen for worn parts, torn material or stitching. Replace or repair the parts as needed.
7. If the playpen is not in use for a long period of time, please put it in the shade where your child cannot access it.
