Program Overview
Amazon Vine is a marketing program operated by Amazon Japan G.K. that provides product samples to select Amazon.co.jp customers ("Vine Voices") for review. This program is open to Amazon Vendors and other sellers.
Seller Requirements
Participation requires sellers to agree to the terms, maintain accurate accounts in Vendor Central or Seller Central, and possess the legal capacity to enter contracts.
Program Mechanics
- Enrollment: Sellers enroll products via an online tool. Amazon reserves the right to reject any product submission.
- Product Delivery: Accepted products must be labeled and shipped to Amazon according to specified requirements.
- Reviews: Products are provided to Vine Voices who post independent reviews on the Amazon.co.jp site. Amazon does not guarantee the nature or volume of reviews.
Key Provisions
- Amendments: Amazon may update terms; continued participation implies acceptance.
- Product Removal: Sellers can request product removal, but previously posted reviews remain.
- Review Ownership: Amazon retains rights to reviews; sellers may use excerpts for business purposes with proper attribution.
- Term & Termination: The agreement is effective upon submission and lasts until terminated. Certain clauses survive termination.
- Warranties & Liability: The program is provided "as is" with disclaimed warranties and limited liability.
- Governing Law: The agreement is governed by Japanese law, with jurisdiction in the Tokyo District Court.
