Safety

  • ⚠️ Never attempt to open, repair, dismantle, or modify the product.

  • ⚠️ Only connect the product to the supplied mains adapter.
  • ⚠️ Do not use the product if it, the mains lead, or the plug is damaged or malfunctioning.
  • ⚠️ Position the product to prevent tripping hazards from the mains lead.
  • The mains adapter disconnects the power supply and must be easily accessible.

Frameo App

Use the Frameo app for iOS or Android to send photos to your frame. Download the Frameo app by scanning the QR code provided.

For Android: Search for "Frameo" in Google Play.

For iOS: Search for "Frameo" in the App Store.

Getting Started

When you start your frame for the first time, you must configure it:

  • Choose a language. This is the language used in the Frameo app.
  • Connect your frame to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Check and correct the date and time.
  • Frameo may prompt you to update to the latest version. It is recommended to update your frame if asked before proceeding.
  • Enter your name and the location of your frame (e.g., "John Smith" and "lounge", "kitchen", or "office"). Finally, enter the time zone if the existing time zone is not correct.

Starting to Use Frameo

Connect Frameo to your friends and family by sharing a code from your frame. Send your photos to the frame by downloading the Frameo app (iOS or Android) from the App Store or Google Play. Use the code to connect your frame and app as described below.

Product Description

  • 1. Standby button: Press to switch the frame off.
  • 2. USB: For connecting to a PC (sold separately).
  • 3. Reset: Use a pointed object like a nail or paper clip to reset the device.
  • 4. MicroSD: Slot for microSD cards.
  • 5. DC: Connect the supplied mains adapter.

Menus and Functions

Swipe left or right to browse through your photos. Tap the screen once to open the menu.

  • Add a friend: Generates a code to share with friends and family, allowing them to connect and send photos via the Frameo app. (Use ?➕ icon)
  • Settings: Opens the settings menu. (Use ⚙️ icon)
  • Power menu: Options for switching off, restarting, or standby mode. (Use ? icon)
  • Reactions: Opens the Reactions menu. Can also be accessed by double-tapping the screen. (Use ❤️ icon)
  • Hide photo: Hides the current photo from the slideshow. It can be retrieved later via the Settings menu. (Use ? icon)
  • Gallery: Opens a gallery for simple and fast navigation through your photos. (Use ?️ icon)
  • Adapt to frame/fill frame: Toggle between adapting the photo to fit the frame or filling the entire frame by scaling the photo. (Use ? icon)
  • Adjust photo: Rotate the photo or enter/edit a caption. Captions for photos imported from a memory card can be edited on the frame, while captions for photos sent via the Frameo app can only be edited within the app. (Use ✏️ icon)

Adding a Friend

  1. Tap the [Add a friend] icon (?➕), and a code will be displayed. The code is valid for 12 hours. If it expires, you can generate a new one.
  2. Share the code with your friends and ask them to install the Frameo app. With the app open, they should tap the [Add a friend] icon (?➕) and enter the code you provided.
  3. Connected friends will appear in your frame.

Settings

My Frame

  • Frame name: Change the name of your frame. Connected friends will see this name in the Frameo app.
  • Frame location: Change the location name of your frame. This helps friends distinguish between multiple frames.

Language

  • Set language: Choose your preferred language.

Weather

  • Enter the location and temperature units manually.

Date and Time

  • Enter the date, time, time zone, first day of the week, and 24- or 12-hour clock format manually.

Managing Photos

Showing Stored Photos

  • Show/hide photos: Select photos to hide by tapping them. Hidden photos are not deleted and can be shown again. Tap the [Show/hide all photos] icon (?️‍?️) to hide or show all photos.
  • Delete photos: Select photos to permanently delete by tapping them. Tap the [Select/deselect all photos] icon (✅) to select or deselect all photos, then tap the [Delete selected photos] icon (❌) to remove them permanently.

Import Photos

  • Import photos from a microSD card to the frame's internal memory.

Transfer from Computer

  1. Activate the function in the menu and connect the frame to a PC using a microUSB cable.
  2. Open the "exibel" storage space on your PC.
  3. Drag and drop photos and videos into the "DCIM" folder.
  4. Do not disconnect the frame until the transfer is complete.

Export Photos

  • Export photos from the frame's internal memory to a microSD card.

Play Photos from External Storage

  • Play photos directly from a microSD card.

My Friends

Display a list of friends connected to the frame. Tap the [Friend settings] icon (?⚙️) next to a friend's name to open their settings. You can allow a friend to share the frame's code or delete a friend by tapping [DELETE FRIEND] (?❌). This removes the friend from your list and revokes their permission to send photos/videos.

Screen

Adjust the frame's brightness and set a time for it to enter standby mode.

Slideshow

  • Timer: Set how long each photo is displayed before changing to the next.
  • Fill frame: Specify whether photos should fill the frame or be shown with a background.
  • Frame background: Select a blurred, black, or colored gradient background.
  • Photo display order: Sort photos by "By date", "By Date taken", or "Shuffle".
  • Reverse photo display order: Select the display sequence: newest to oldest or vice versa.
  • Slideshow widgets: Choose whether to show or hide "caption", "clock", and "weather".

Video

Change video playback settings:

  • Auto play: Enable or disable automatic video playback.
  • Video playback: Set to repeat, play once, or play once and continue.
  • Auto mute: Enable or disable automatic muting.
  • Video volume: Adjust the video volume using the slider.

Wi-Fi

  • Current network: Displays information about the connected network.
  • Available network: Tap to connect to a network.
  • Restore Wi-Fi: Tap the [three dots] (...) icon and then [Restore Wi-Fi] (??) to delete all Wi-Fi information and restart the frame.

Notifications

Select whether to show or hide all notifications or specific ones. Adjust notification volume using the slider.

Backup and Restore

Backup Frame to External Storage

  • Tap [Backup to external storage] (?) to create a backup copy of your photos, friends, and settings. The time of the last successful backup is shown. Existing backup copies on the external storage device will be overwritten.

Automatic Backup

  • If checked, your frame will automatically create a backup copy within 30 hours of receiving new photos or making changes.

Restore from Backup

  • You can only restore from a backup on a reset screen. To restore a backup, the frame must first be reset.
  • 1. Ensure a backup copy exists on the microSD card (see "Backup Frame to External Storage").
  • 2. Tap [Reset screen], then select [Factory reset] or [Delete frame data]. The frame will delete all data.
  • 3. When the configuration screen appears, tap [Restore from backup].
  • Note: For old and new frames to work concurrently after a restore, both must be updated to the latest version. It is also advisable to change the "Name of screen" or "Screen location" to differentiate frames.

Reset Frame

Tap [Clear frame data] or [Factory reset]. This will permanently delete your photos, friends/connections, and settings.

Help

Guide

  • Open the quick start guide that appeared when you first started the frame. (Use ❓ icon)

About

  • Hardware brand and model number
  • Peer ID: A unique ID code for your photo frame. Include this in messages when contacting Frameo support.
  • Frameo version: Displays the installed software version.
  • Check for updates: Check if an update is available for your frame.
  • Beta program: If checked, the device will join the Beta program for more frequent updates.
  • Third party attributions: Shows active third-party programs. (Use ℹ️ icon)

Share Anonymous Analysis Data

Anonymous data is gathered to improve the software. Uncheck this option to stop sharing. For more information about privacy, visit http://privacy.frameo.net.

Power Menu

Tap the [Power menu] icon (?) to open the menu and select an option:

  • [Switch off] (?) to completely power down the frame.
  • [Restart] (?) to restart the frame.
  • [Standby mode] (?) for standby mode.

Note: Always use the Off button on the device or in the Power menu to switch off the frame. Never disconnect the power while Frameo is running.

Reactions

Double-tap a photo to react to it and select a reaction. The reaction will be sent to the Frameo app users.

Show/Hide Photos

Select photos to hide by tapping them. Hidden photos are not deleted and can be displayed again.

Adapt to Frame/Fill Frame

"Fill frame" is the default option, scaling the photo to fill the entire screen, centered on the most important part (See Fig. 1). "Adapt to frame" displays the whole photo within the frame (See Fig. 2).

Adjust Photo

  • Tap [Rotate photo] (?) to rotate the image.
  • Tap [Edit caption] (✏️) to edit the caption of imported photos. Captions for photos sent via the Frameo app can only be edited within the app, while photos imported via USB or memory card can be edited directly on the frame.

Playing Videos

When playing a video, use the following controls:

  • [Play video] (▶️) to start playback.
  • [Pause video] (⏸️) to pause playback.
  • [Volume control] (?): Open to adjust the volume using the slider.
  • [Mute sound] (?): Tap to mute the sound. Tap again to restore sound.

MicroSD Card

Insert a microSD card (max 128 GB, NTFS/FAT32) into the card slot on the back of the screen. A menu will appear on the screen with the following options:

  • [Show photos from card] (??️): Display photos directly from the memory card.
  • [Import photos] (?): Import photos from the microSD card to the frame's internal memory. Select photos by tapping them (selected photos will be marked in grey). Tap [Select all photos] (✅) to select all, then tap [Import selected photos] (?) to import them.
  • [Backup photos] (?): Make a backup copy of your photos from your frame to a microSD card.

Clock and Weather Widgets

The current time and weather are displayed in the top right corner of the frame when it contains at least one photo. Tap the [Weather icon] (☀️) for a more detailed weather forecast.

Responsible Disposal

This symbol (♻️) indicates that the product should not be disposed of with general household waste. This applies throughout the EU. To prevent harm to the environment or health from incorrect waste disposal, the product must be handed in for recycling. Take the product to your local recycling facility or contact the retailer for responsible disposal.
