Motocross Performance, Enduro Endurance
The new WR250F model is ready to shake up the world of enduro and change the way you look at the 250cc four-stroke class. Thanks to the latest motocross technology from the winning YZ250F model by Yamaha at the Grand Prix, and expanded with a range of specific enduro features, it is one of the most amazing motorcycles of the decade.
This bike is equipped with the powerful YZ250F engine, which utilizes a wide intake port, a more powerful camshaft, and an ECU unit. This makes it the fastest WR250F machine ever. With a motocross-style aluminum chassis, specially tuned for the unique demands of enduro, and a large diameter 270 mm front disc brake, this model represents a whole new league. In addition to having a complete factory look in this Icon Blue finish, it is also very smart. Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity means you can fine-tune engine performance using your smartphone, and a compact multi-function display will tell you everything you need to know.
The WR250F model combines the speed and agility of the Grand Prix-winning YZ250F motocross bike with a range of enduro-specific technologies that improve handling at all speeds and across a wide range of surfaces. And therefore, it can handle anything – from fast tracks to technical forest riding.
The new YZ250F cylinder head with a wide intake port and performance exhaust camshaft provides strong low-to-mid range power, while maintaining high torque at low RPMs for the WR250F. The lightweight aluminum bilateral beam frame from the Yamaha motocross model has been optimized for enduro, providing the right balance of rigidity for greater precision and better surface feedback for riding in challenging terrain.
The lightweight and powerful front braking system allows for maximum controllability, and enduro features include a multi-function display and a special exhaust and muffler design. The lightweight clutch and 6-speed transmission with wide ratios are ready for the most extreme challenges. Thanks to the Power Tuner smartphone app and the 2-position engine mode switch, you can also set up the intelligent WR250F model to handle virtually any riding conditions.
