The WR250F combines the speed and agility of Yamaha's Grand Prix-winning YZ250F motocross bike with a range of enduro-specific technology that ensures better riding characteristics at all speeds and across a wide range of surfaces. The WR250F can handle anything, from race tracks to technical forest trails.
The new YZ250F-type cylinder head with a wide intake port and a high-performance exhaust camshaft ensures faster mid- to top-end performance while retaining the WR250F's strong low-end torque – and a new lightweight aluminum cradle frame from Yamaha's motocross bike is enduro-tuned to provide the right balance of stiffness for more accurate feel and precise surface feedback on rough terrain.
A light and powerful front braking system gives you ultimate control. Enduro features include a multi-function meter and a specially designed exhaust and silencer. The light-action clutch and wide-ratio six-speed transmission are ready for the most extreme challenges, and with the Power Tuner smartphone app and a 2-position mapping switch, the intelligent WR250F can be set up to handle virtually any riding condition.

Powerful YZ250F-type engine
The WR250F comes with a powerful, high-tech engine developed from the Grand Prix-winning YZ250F. With a new cylinder head featuring a wider intake port for improved riding efficiency – as well as a high-performance camshaft and enduro-specific ECU settings – this motocross-based engine delivers strong mid- to top-end performance while maintaining the WR250F's renowned low-end pulling power.

YZ250F-style aluminum cradle frame
The WR250F's frame is manufactured using Yamaha's unique CF die-casting process and comes directly from the winning YZ250F, one of the most dominant motocross bikes in Europe and the US. The strong and lightweight aluminum cradle frame has varying wall thicknesses, providing a specially tuned balance of stiffness for the highest level of feel and feedback.

Smartphone tuning via Power Tuner app
Using Yamaha's Power Tuner smartphone app, you can fine-tune the WR250F's engine performance via its built-in Wi-Fi. This user-friendly system allows you to choose your own fuel injection and ignition timing based on terrain and weather conditions. You can also view and share race log files, engine diagnostic data, real-time monitoring, and backup data.

High-performance YZ250F front brake
With a compact caliper featuring large-diameter pistons – as well as special high-friction brake pads that provide a large contact surface with the rotor – the WR250F's powerful 270mm front disc brake allows you to save valuable time in tight sections. Furthermore, the entire system offers a high degree of control.

Class-leading suspension
The WR250F is equipped with the best KYB 43mm spring-oil front fork with Speed Sensitive System (SSS) and features special enduro valving for agile steering and excellent shock absorption at all speeds. The lightweight spring and the large reservoir capacity of the rear shock absorber contribute to the WR250F's light weight and reinforce its reputation as one of the best-handling enduro motorcycles.

Compact multi-function display
The compact multi-function display provides all the information you need on the track or trail. The high-contrast LCD meter includes a speedometer, two trip meters, a clock and stopwatch, plus a low fuel warning light. Thanks to the new fuel consumption meter, you can better plan your refueling stops.
