How to Assemble
Step 1: Mount the Bracket
Figure 1 & 2: Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure all screws are tightened securely onto the bracket. Wire the fan to the main power supply as illustrated.
Step 2: Install Blades
Figure 3: Remove the motor cover as shown in the figure.
Figure 4: Install the blades to the bottom of the motor. Tighten and secure each blade with the provided screws and washers. Repeat for all blades. Note: Ensure blades are not damaged or bent during installation, as this can affect fan performance and balance, and is not covered under warranty.
Figure 5: Install the motor cover as shown in the figure and tighten the screws.
Step 3: Install Down Rod
Figure 6: Remove the ball/downrod assembly as shown in the figure.
Figure 7: Pass the wires through the down rod. Reinsert the pin and clevis, then tighten the screw holding the down rod in place. Ensure the screw is securely tightened.
Figure 8: Put the decorative motor collar cover and canopy through the down rod.
Step 4: Install Alloy Ball
Figure 9: Reinsert the alloy ball and pin onto the down rod and tighten the screw. Ensure the screw is tightened.
Figure 10: Place the fan into the hanger bracket and align the ball joint slot with the hanger bracket as illustrated.
Step 5: Wire Receiver and Connect
Figure 11: Wire up the receiver using quick connectors and insert it into the mounting bracket. Ensure the antenna wire is safely folded inside the canopy cover before final assembly. Do not cut the antenna wire.
Step 6: Install Canopy
Figure 12: After wiring is completed, attach the canopy to the hanger bracket by pushing upwards and twisting anti-clockwise. Tighten screws and ensure the canopy does not touch the ball joint.
Step 7: Install Light Kit
Figure 13: Remove three screws from the bottom steel plate and set aside.
Figure 14: Align the keyholes of the LED light plate with the remaining points on the bracket. Secure the installation by re-inserting the screws removed in the previous step.
Figure 15: Connect the LED lights to the motor housing using the provided quick plugs.
Figure 16: Place the lampshade onto the light kit and tighten it. The installation is now finished.
Wire Connections
Fan LED Light Model Wiring:
Supply: 220-240V/AC 50/60Hz
Connect AC Live (ACL) and AC Neutral (ACN) from the power supply to the corresponding terminals on the receiver.
Motor Connections:
- Motor Black wire connects to receiver's Motor Black terminal.
- Motor Orange wire connects to receiver's Motor Orange terminal.
- Motor Grey wire connects to receiver's Motor Grey terminal.
Light Connections:
- Light Brown wire connects to receiver's Light Brown terminal.
- Light Blue wire connects to receiver's Light Blue terminal.
- Light Red wire connects to receiver's Light Red terminal.
Grounding: Yellow/Green wires from the fan and light should be connected to the main earth supply.
Important Reminders
- The receiver must be correctly installed in the mounting bracket.
- If the transmitter cannot control the receiver, check:
- If the transmitter has sufficient battery.
- If there are other remote-controlled products nearby causing interference.
- Replace the battery if it is getting low, as this affects transmitter sensitivity.
- Remove the battery from the transmitter when not in use for extended periods to prevent leaks.
- An isolation switch MUST be connected in the line.
Smart Life App Pairing Process
Follow these steps to connect your fan to the Smart Life app:
- Download the "Smart Life" APP on your smart devices.
- Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth on your smart devices. Ensure they are connected to a 2.4GHZ WIFI network.
- Open the APP and follow the steps to register a new user account or log in to an existing account.
- Follow instructions in the main manual (or on the back of the remote) to put the fan into WiFi pairing mode. If successful, proceed to step 6. If the fan has been previously paired or is not working, proceed to step 5 to reset the fan.
- Resetting the Fan: This step is only necessary if the fan did not enter WiFi pairing mode. Turn the fan on, power off after 10 seconds, power on again after 15 seconds, then long press the "Fan Stop" button for 5 seconds. If you hear "beep beep", the reset is successful. If not, repeat the reset process.
- Once the fan has entered WiFi pairing mode, open the Smart Life APP on your smart device. Click "Add Device" in the middle or the "+" icon on the top right of the screen.
- The auto scan should begin automatically, and the fan should appear on the screen within seconds.
Note: If the fan does not appear, you can add it manually by navigating to: Add Manually > Small Home Appliance > Fan.
The app guides you through setup, offering "Automatic Search" or "Manually Add" options. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.
Remote Control Functions
Pairing the Remote Control:
- Fan Only Model: Turn on the ceiling fan. Within the first 20 seconds, press and hold the [Pair] button until a beep sound is heard. Repeat if no beep is heard.
- Fan LED Light Model: Turn on the ceiling fan. Within the first 20 seconds, press and hold the [Pair] button until a beep sound is heard. Repeat if no beep is heard.
Entering WiFi Pairing Mode:
- Fan Only Model: Turn on the power. Within the first 20 seconds, press and hold the [WiFi] button until a beep is heard. Continue with app connection.
- Fan LED Light Model: Turn on the power. Within the first 20 seconds, press and hold the [WiFi] button until a beep is heard. Continue with app connection.
Remote Button Functions:
- FAN OFF: Switches the fan off.
- SLEEP MODE: Activates an extra low speed for a gentle breeze.
- SPEED BUTTON: Adjusts fan speed from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest).
- NATURAL WIND MODE: Designed for comfort, this mode mimics natural breeze patterns with speeds changing randomly between 1-6.
- FORWARD AND REVERSAL: Switches between summer (downward airflow) and winter (upward airflow) modes.
- TIMER (1H/4H/8H): Sets the fan and light to turn off automatically after the selected duration. The last pressed timer setting is active.
- LIGHT ON/OFF: Switches the light on or off.
- CCT: Cycles through color temperatures: Warm White (2700K), Natural White (4000K), Cool White (6500K).
- LED +/-: Adjusts the brightness of the LED light.
Important Warnings
WARNING: Installation MUST be carried out by a qualified and licensed electrician.
- Installation of fans MUST follow SAA standards and meet local authority regulations.
- The fan and light MUST be earthed.
- The mounting bracket MUST be firmly attached to a flat, solid structure or timber frame.
- DO NOT mix blades from different models. All blades MUST be replaced if damaged.
- The warranty is VOID if the product is not installed according to this installation guide.
