AUVON AS8019 User Manual

1. Explanation of Pain

Pain is a warning system indicating something is wrong. It's crucial for detecting abnormal conditions and preventing damage. While a necessary signal, persistent pain can be purposeless. Pain messages travel from the injured area via nerves to the spinal cord and then to the brain for interpretation.

2. Explanation of TENS

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a non-invasive, drug-free pain control method. It uses electrical impulses through the skin to nerves to modify pain perception. TENS helps manage pain but does not cure underlying physiological problems. It is effective for many patients in reducing or eliminating pain, allowing them to return to normal activities.
