Important Safety Information
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If any supply cords are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid system damage.
- Take precautions to prevent the back-flow of gases into the room from the open flue of gas or other fuel-burning appliances.
- Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring according to AS/NZS wiring rules.
Electrical Connection Procedure
Note: The supplied Junction Box is designed for internal use and installation below the roofline.
- Cut the Dektite roof flashing at the 150/160mm marking and fit it to the rigid duct. Refer to the separate installation sheet for detailed instructions.
- For terminations below the roof, position the motor lead exit hole as far down the rigid duct as practical, ensuring sufficient lead length for connection.
- After fitting the Dektite, drill an 8mm hole in the rigid duct at a suitable location and insert the supplied rubber grommet. Pass the motor lead through the grommet to the exterior of the rigid duct.
- Position the assembly in the roof penetration according to the "Installation Instructions for Roof Penetrations" sheet.
- Once the assembly is secured to the roof via the Dektite fastening procedure, make the electrical connections. The junction box can be attached to the rigid duct if needed.
- For easier termination, you may pull the entire assembly down as far as possible within the Dektite flashing. After completing the connections, push the assembly back up through the Dektite. Visually inspect the Dektite seal around the rigid duct above the roof to ensure it is correct.
- With terminations complete, secure the rigid duct to a rafter or purlin using the supplied clamp for stability. Connect the ducting as required.

Mounting and Ducting Installation
Tube/Cowl Mounting: Secure the tube to a roof truss or rafter using the supplied clamp bracket. Ensure the tube/cowl is mounted vertically to maintain weatherproofing.
Ducting Connection: Attach flexible ducting directly to the bottom of the rigid duct. Trim any excess ducting length before connecting.
Electrical Connections: All electrical connections should be made below the roof level.
Diffuser Fitting: Fix the diffuser to the ceiling and secure the ducting. For diffusers requiring screw fixing, cut a 153mm diameter hole. For diffusers with spring-loaded self-latching clip fasteners, cut a 205mm diameter hole.
