Fumes Discharge:
- External Exhaust (Aspirating): Fumes and vapors are discharged outside through an exhaust pipe. Connect the hood outlet fitting to an external output using a pipe with a diameter not less than the hood fitting. Ensure a slight downward slope in horizontal sections to prevent condensation. Minimize bends and use the minimum required length to avoid vibrations and suction performance reduction. Insulate pipes passing through cold environments. A check valve is present for motors with 500CFM or higher to prevent external air backflow.
- Internal Recirculation (Filtering): Air passes through charcoal filters to be purified and recycled. Ensure active carbon filters are assembled; if not, install them as per assembly instructions. The check valve must not be assembled in this version; remove it if present on the motor's air outlet fitting.
SRS System Setting:
The SRS system reduces the maximum air flow rate, making the hood compliant with local building regulations.
