3. Practical Tips
Load Tips:
⚠️ WARNING: When sorting laundry, ensure:
- Metallic objects (hair clips, pins, coins) are removed.
- Buttoned pillow cases, closed zips, and tied belts/ribbons are secured.
- Rollers, hooks, or clips are removed from curtains.
- Clothing washing labels are read carefully.
- Persistent stains are treated with specific detergents.
For rugs, bedcovers, or heavy clothing, avoid the spinning cycle.
To wash wool, ensure items are machine washable and marked with the "Pure virgin wool" symbol, "Does not mat," or "Machine washable" label.
Helpful Suggestions for the User: A guide for environmentally friendly and economic use of your appliance.
Maximise The Load Size:
- Achieve best energy, water, detergent, and time use by washing full loads. Save up to 50% energy by washing one full load instead of two half loads.
Do you need to pre-wash?
- For heavily soiled laundry only! Save detergent, time, water, and 5-15% energy by NOT selecting Prewash for slight to normally soiled laundry.
Is a hot wash required?
- Pretreat stains with stain remover or soak dried stains before washing to reduce the need for a hot wash. Save up to 50% energy by using a 60°C wash program.
Detergent Use Guide:
- Heavily soiled whites: Use cotton programs at 60°C or above with a heavy-duty washing powder containing bleaching agents.
- 40°C - 60°C washes: Use detergents appropriate for fabric type and soiling level. Powders are suitable for whites/colorfast fabrics with high soiling. Liquid detergents or "colour protecting" powders are for colored fabrics with light soiling.
- Below 40°C washes: Use liquid detergents or those specifically labeled for low-temperature washing.
- Wool or silk: Use detergents specifically formulated for these fabrics.
4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Clean the washing machine exterior with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasives, alcohol, or solvents. Regularly clean the soap drawer and pump filters for optimal performance. A monthly service wash with a proprietary cleaner is recommended.
Drawer Cleaning:
- Clean the drawer to prevent detergent and additive residue buildup.
- Extract the drawer with slight force, clean with running water, and reinsert.
- Ensure the siphon cap is correctly refitted.
Filter Cleaning:
- The special filter traps large residue (buttons, coins) that could clog the drain.
- On some models: pull out the corrugated hose, remove the stopper, and drain water into a container.
- Ensure all water is emptied from the drum.
- Place an absorbent cloth under the filter before unscrewing to catch dripping water.
- Turn the filter counter-clockwise to the limit stop.
- Remove and clean the filter. Replace it by turning clockwise until the handle locks horizontally. Lubricating the seal with liquid soap can help refitting.
- Repeat steps in reverse to reassemble.
Suggestions for moves or prolonged disuse:
- If storing in an unheated room for a long period, drain all water from tubes.
- Unplug the washing machine.
- Detach the drain tube, clip it to the rear of the machine, and lower it to drain water into a bowl.
- Secure the drain tube to the rear of the machine.
- Keep the door glass and gasket clean.
The manufacturer's warranty covers mechanical or electrical faults. Faults due to handling, installation, or misuse are not covered and may incur charges.

Excessive detergent can impede spin; use correct amount. |
Strong vibrations / noises are heard during the spin cycle | Ensure machine is fully leveled. Verify transport screws, bungs, and spacer tubes were removed. Check for foreign objects inside the drum (coins, hinges, buttons, etc.). |
The standard manufacturer warranty covers faults caused by electrical or mechanical issues due to the manufacturer. Faults from external factors, misuse, or failure to follow instructions may incur charges.
10. Additional Information
Ecological Detergents: Using phosphate-free detergents may cause cloudier rinse water (due to suspended zeolites, which are harmless) or white powder (zeolites) on laundry (normal, does not affect color; select a rinse program to remove). Foam in the water at the last rinse does not indicate poor rinsing; consider using less detergent. Abundant foam may be due to anionic surfactants; do not re-rinse, but conduct a maintenance wash. If problems persist, contact Customer Service.
