This vacuum cleaner is designed to be safe when used for cleaning functions as specified. If damage occurs to electrical or mechanical parts, the vacuum cleaner and/or accessories must be repaired by a competent service workshop or the manufacturer before further use to avoid further damage to the machine or personal injury.

Double Insulated Appliances* ?

CAUTION: Must only be used as described in these instructions and only with manufacturer-recommended accessories. BEFORE PLUGGING IN THE VACUUM CLEANER, check the rating plate to ensure the rated voltage matches the voltage in your area within 10%. This appliance is equipped with double insulation. Use only identical spare parts. Refer to instructions for servicing double insulated appliances. A double insulated appliance has two insulation systems instead of grounding. There is no grounding connection in a double insulated appliance, and grounding should not be added. Service work on a double insulated appliance requires extreme accuracy and knowledge of the system and must only be performed by qualified service personnel. Spare parts for a double insulated appliance must correspond to the parts they replace. A double insulated appliance is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED". The symbol (square within a square) may also be used on the product.

The machine is equipped with a specially designed cable. If it becomes damaged, it must be replaced with a cable of the same type, available from authorized workshops and dealers, and installed by qualified personnel.

Hazards

Electrical Components ⚡

DANGER: The upper part of the vacuum cleaner contains live components. Contact with live components can cause severe or fatal injuries. Do not spray water on the upper part of the vacuum cleaner.

DANGER: Electric shock due to faulty appliance cable. Touching a defective appliance cable can cause severe or fatal injuries. Do not damage the appliance cable (e.g., by running over it, pulling it, or pinching it). Regularly check the appliance cord for damage or signs of aging. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized Nilfisk dealer or similarly qualified person to avoid hazardous situations. The appliance cord must never be twisted around fingers or any part of the operator.

CAUTION: Appliance Socket*. The appliance socket is only designed for the purposes defined in the operating instructions. Connecting other appliances can cause damage. Before plugging in any appliance, always switch off the vacuum cleaner and the appliance to be connected. Read the operating instructions for the appliance to be connected and observe the safety notices therein.

Liquid Collection ?

CAUTION: Do not collect flammable liquids. Before collecting liquids, always check that the float or water level limiter is functioning correctly. You must use a dedicated filter element or filter cloth. If foam appears, stop work immediately and empty the container.

Hazardous Materials ☣️

WARNING: Collecting hazardous materials can lead to severe or fatal injuries. The following materials must not be collected with the vacuum cleaner:

Spare Parts and Accessories ⚙️

CAUTION: Using non-original spare parts and accessories can compromise the safety of the appliance. Use only genuine Nilfisk spare parts and accessories. Use only brushes supplied with the vacuum cleaner or specified in the instructions.

Emptying the Waste Container ?️

CAUTION: Collection of environmentally hazardous materials. Collected materials may pose a risk to the environment. Dispose of waste in accordance with legal regulations.

In Explosive or Flammable Atmospheres ?

CAUTION: This machine is not suitable for use in explosive or flammable atmospheres, or where such atmospheres may develop due to volatile liquids or flammable gases or vapors.

Blowing Function ?

CAUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a blowing function. Do not blow exhaust air indiscriminately in enclosed spaces. The blowing function should only be used with a clean hose. Dust can be hazardous to health.

Operation and Use ▶️

Starting and Operating the Machine

Ensure the switch is off (position 0). Ensure the correct filters are installed. Connect the suction hose to the intake port by pushing it firmly into place. Connect the two hoses to the hose handle, twisting them to ensure a secure fit. Attach a suitable nozzle/brush to the tube. Check the nozzle/brush depending on the material to be collected. Plug the appliance into a correct socket. Set the switch to position I to start the motor.

Auto On/Off Operation for Electrical Tools* ?

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an earthed socket for connecting an external electrical tool. The vacuum cleaner can be switched on and off by the connected electrical tool. Material is collected directly from the dust source. To comply with regulations, only connect approved dust-producing tools. The maximum power for the connected electrical appliance is specified in the "Specifications" section. Before switching the main switch to I, ensure the tool connected to the appliance socket is switched off.

Before Collecting Liquid ?

CAUTION: The machine is equipped with a float system that interrupts airflow when the maximum liquid level is reached. You will hear a distinct change in engine sound and notice a drop in suction power. When this happens, switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply. Never collect liquid without the float in place.

Emptying After Collecting Liquid

Before emptying the container, unplug the vacuum cleaner. Disconnect the hose from the intake. Release the latches to free the motor top. Lift the motor top off the container. Always empty and clean the container and float system after collecting liquids. Never collect liquids without the float system and filter installed. Empty the container by tilting it backward and pouring the liquid into a floor drain or similar. Replace the motor top on the container and secure it with the latches.

Emptying After Collecting Dry Material

Unplug the vacuum cleaner before emptying after collecting dry material. Periodically check filters and the dust bag. Release the latches to free the motor top. Lift the motor top off the container.

After emptying, close the motor top and secure it with the latches. Never collect dry material without the filter cartridge and dust bag installed. Suction power depends on the filter and dust bag quality. Always use original filters and dust bags.

Push&Clean ?

The machine is equipped with a semi-automatic filter cleaning system. Push&Clean. The filter cleaning system must be activated at the latest when suction performance is no longer sufficient. Regular use of the filter cleaning function increases filter service life.

After Use ?

After Use

Unplug the machine (?) when not in use. Roll up the power cord starting from the machine. The cord can be wound around the motor top or the container. Some models have dedicated accessory storage.

In case of malfunction, the machine must be taken out of operation, checked, and repaired by an authorized service mechanic.

Maintenance

Unplug the power cord (?) before performing maintenance. Before using the machine, ensure the frequency and voltage indicated on the rating plate match the voltage of your electrical system. The vacuum cleaner is designed for continuous heavy use. Depending on operating hours, dust filters must be replaced. Keep the dust container clean with a dry cloth and a little spray polish.
