Blackstar DEBUT BASS Amplifier: Setup Guide
Congratulations on buying this Blackstar DEBUT BASS amplifier. The DEBUT BASS are compact bass amps with big TONE. Combining two channels, Clean and Overdrive, and a 3-band EQ, they're the perfect bass amplifiers to start your journey.
Getting Started
1. Plug In
Connect the mains lead to the amplifier's Mains Input socket.
2. Input
Plug your bass lead into the Input socket.
3. Power
Switch your amplifier on using the Power Switch.
Setting Up
1. Volume
This controls the overall output volume of your amplifier. Turning it clockwise increases the volume.
2. (OD) Overdrive
Press this switch to select the Overdrive Channel. When the switch is pushed in, the Overdrive Channel is selected. When the switch is out, the Clean Channel is in operation.
3. Low, Mid & High
The LOW, MID and HIGH controls will increase the relevant frequencies when turned clockwise and decrease when turned counter clockwise.
Get Connected
Audio Playback
Play audio from your phone, tablet, or laptop in stereo through the DEBUT BASS using a stereo aux cable (sold separately). You can also plug headphones into the DEBUT via the 'EM. OUT & PHONES' jack socket.
Note: Connect the output of your device to your DEBUT for stereo playback. Adjust the player's volume to match that of your guitar to enable you to play along.
Suggested Settings
Scooped Clean
This section provides suggested knob settings for a 'Scooped Clean' tone. The visual shows the Volume, Low, Mid, High, and Drive controls set to specific positions.
Rock Drive
This section provides suggested knob settings for a 'Rock Drive' tone. The visual shows the Volume, Low, Mid, High, and Drive controls set to specific positions.
