Blackstar ID:CORE V4 - Setup Guide
Congratulations on buying this Blackstar ID:Core amplifier. Your ID:CORE is a cutting-edge programmable amplifier with a simple yet powerful control set, which delivers incredible tone in Super Wide Stereo. Enhanced voices and effects make its lightweight, compact design perfect for practice, whether you're an experienced guitarist or just starting out.
Getting Started

1. Connect the power supply
Connect the power supply to the amplifier.
⚠️ Warning: The power supply should only be connected to a power outlet compatible with the voltage, power, and frequency requirements stated on the rear. Consult a qualified technician if in doubt.

2. Connect your guitar
Plug your guitar into the Input socket.

3. Switch on the amplifier
Switch your amplifier on using the Power Switch.

4. Manual Mode
Press the MANUAL button to select Manual Mode. In this mode, 'what you see is what you get' - the sound you hear will reflect the current position of the knobs. The recall indicator flashes when the knob passes the current setting.
Deep editing and storing of patches is simple using the free Architect software. Patches can be shared, uploaded, and downloaded via our online community: www.blackstaramps.com
Setting Up
Note: Holding the REV switch for two seconds will engage the tuner mode.
1. Choose Your Sound
Choose a preamp voicing ranging from clean to scream and set your gain and volume. Blend your EQ between a UK and American sound, using Blackstar's patented ISF control.
[EQ graphic] The recall indicator flashes when the knob passes the current setting.
Default Patches
To engage PATCH MODE, press the MANUAL button so that the MANUAL LED is unlit.

2. Apply Effects
Select Modulation, Delay, and Reverb types and adjust their levels.
Modulation Types: Phaser, Chorus/Flanger, Envelope, Tremolo
Delay Types: Linear, Analogue, Tape, Multi
Reverb Types: Room, Hall, Spring, Plate
[TAP button] Use the TAP button to set delay time.
Connectivity
Use a TRRS 3.5mm cable for easy input/output Live Streaming capability.

CabRig™ Speaker Simulator
CabRig™ is a next-generation advanced speaker simulator that reproduces the sound and feel of guitar speaker cabs in incredible detail.
Accessories
FS-18 Multi-function Footcontroller
Connect a Blackstar FS-18 footcontroller (sold separately) to control your amplifier. (ID:CORE 20/40 only)
FS-11 Footcontroller also compatible.
PB-1 PowerBank
The PowerBank PB-1 can power an instrument-based product (i.e. ID:CORE, ID:CORE BEAM, ACOUSTIC:CORE or FLY CHARGE) for approximately 4-7 hours at medium volume, or an audio-based product (i.e. Super FLY Active Cabinet) for approximately 12-16 hours at medium volume.
Audio Driver & Extra Features
Windows: The Blackstar Amplification USB Audio Driver is required. Download the driver by scanning the QR code (excluded). For more information, scan the QR code (excluded) to access the full ID:CORE online owner's manual, including details on the built-in tuner, editing, and storing patches via USB.
Mac: No installation of Audio Drivers is required. Connect your amp directly to your Mac to use as a plug-and-play audio interface. Scan the QR code (excluded) for more information on additional features.

- Unplug when unused for long periods.
- Connect loudspeaker before powering on.
- Always replace damaged fuses with the correct rating and type.
- Never disconnect the protective mains earth connection.
- High loudspeaker levels can cause permanent hearing damage. Avoid proximity to loud speakers and wear hearing protection if exposed to high levels.
- This product may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference; take steps to limit it.
