Step E: Adjust the angle of the lens by rotating the body of the rear IR camera.

Step F: Use the pry tool to lift the edges of the rubber window sealing and/or molding and tuck in the rear IR camera connection cable.

Warning: Do not install the product in a location that obstructs the driver's field of vision.

Step A: Turn off the engine.

Step B: Unscrew the bolt securing the SIM slot cover on the connectivity module. Remove the cover and use the SIM eject tool to unmount the SIM slot. Insert the SIM card into the slot.

Step C: Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and attach the connectivity module to the top corner of the windshield.

Step D: Connect the main unit (USB port) and the connectivity module cable (USB).

Hardwiring for Main Unit

The Hardwiring Power Cable utilizes the automotive battery to power the dashcam when the engine is off. It includes a low voltage power cut-off function and a parking mode timer to protect the battery from discharge. Settings can be adjusted via the BlackVue App or Viewer.

Step A: To hardwire, first locate the fuse box to connect the hardwiring power cable.

Note: Fuse box locations vary by manufacturer and model. Refer to the vehicle owner's manual for details.

Step B: After removing the fuse panel cover, identify a fuse that powers on when the engine is turned on (e.g., cigarette lighter socket, audio) and another fuse that remains powered on after the engine is turned off (e.g., hazard light, interior light). Connect the ACC+ cable to the fuse that powers on after engine start, and the BATT+ cable to the fuse that remains powered on after the engine is turned off.

Note: To utilize the battery saver feature, connect the BATT+ cable to the hazard light fuse. Fuse functions may differ by manufacturer or model. Refer to the vehicle owner's manual for details.

Step C: Connect the GND cable to a metal ground bolt.

Step D: Connect the power cable to the DC in terminal of the main unit. The BlackVue will power up and begin recording. Video files are stored on the microSD card.

Note: Upon first use, the dashcam automatically loads the firmware onto the microSD card. After firmware loading, settings can be customized using the BlackVue app on a smartphone or the BlackVue Viewer on a computer.

Step E: Use the pry tool to lift the edges of the center console and tuck in the hardwiring power cable.

Diagram Description: Diagrams illustrate the hardwiring process, including identifying fuses, connecting ACC+ and BATT+ cables, grounding the unit, and connecting the power cable to the main unit, with cable routing shown.
