FAQs

  1. Frequent Alarm Messages: If the phone receives too many alarm messages, the camera consumes significant battery. It is recommended to lower motion detection sensitivity, set an alarm interval, and plan alarms.
  2. False Alarms (No Moving Objects): If the alarm picture frequently shows no moving objects, a sensitive heat source might be within the motion detection range, triggering false alarms. Lowering motion detection sensitivity is recommended.
  3. Missed Alarms: If someone passes by the camera but no alarm message is received, increase motion detection sensitivity.
  4. Delayed Video/Picture: If alarm pictures or videos are delayed, or only show the back of people, increase motion detection sensitivity.
  5. PIR Sensor Sensitivity (Temperature): The PIR sensor can be affected by ambient temperature. Increase sensitivity in hot environments and decrease it in cold environments. Extremely low temperatures and heavy clothing can hinder PIR detection.
  6. PIR Sensor Sensitivity (Sunlight): Ultraviolet rays from the sun can interfere with the PIR sensor. If the camera's PIR faces strong sunlight, alarms may be less sensitive.

Troubleshooting

The device prompts offline?

  1. Check if the equipment is powered on and its working light is normal.
  2. Verify the WIFI network is stable and restart the router.
  3. If the device is far from the router, move the router closer or use a WIFI amplifier.
  4. Delete the camera from your CloudEye account and re-add it after resetting the device.
  5. Ensure device firmware and the application program are the latest versions.

Update router or WIFI password?

Delete the camera from your CloudEye account. After resetting the device, use the new WIFI name or password to add it again.

Alarm push frequently?

  1. In the app, lower the sensitivity of motion detection alarms.
  2. Check for objects that might interfere with or trigger the PIR sensor (e.g., air conditioner units, passing cars, pedestrians). Adjust the device's angle to avoid these objects.

The phone cannot receive the alarm push?

  1. In the mobile phone system settings, enable push permissions for the "CloudEye" application.
  2. Ensure the device's motion detection function is successfully turned on.
  3. Restart the phone. For Android phones, try clearing the app cache.
  4. Check if the network connection is good.
