Safety & Warnings

Please read all instructions carefully before use.

• Suitable for indoor use only.
• Only dispense dry pet food into the hopper. Other items may cause malfunction.
• Place the feeder in a corner or against a wall to prevent pets from knocking it over.
• Organize the power cord to prevent pets from biting it, which could cause serious harm or death.
• Do not disassemble or modify the device yourself.
• This feeder is designed for dry food only; it is not suitable for wet food.
• Suitable for cats and small to medium-sized dogs.
• Pet food shape and density may affect hopper capacity and dispensing quantity.
• Initial feedings after refilling may have variable portions; manual calibration (pressing the manual feed button until food dispenses) is recommended.

General Safety Precautions:

1. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles.
2. Protect against electric shock: do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquids.
3. Close supervision is required when the appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before handling parts or cleaning.
5. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged. Return it to an authorized service facility for inspection, repair, or adjustment.

15. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
16. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

Description of the Kogan SmarterHome Smart Wi-Fi Pet Feeder with Camera:

• Wi-Fi Indicator LED: Shows the Wi-Fi connection status.
• Food Status LED: Indicates the current food level in the hopper.
• Camera: Allows remote monitoring of your pet.
• Food Outlet: The point from which food is dispensed into the bowl.
• Bowl: Collects the dispensed food.
• Lid: Covers the food hopper.
• Lid Release Key: A button used to open the lid.
• Manual Feed Button: Short press for immediate feeding; long press for factory reset.
• Power Bank Slot: A slot designed to house a power bank (dimensions 175x70x30mm) for backup power during outages.
• Micro USB Input: Port for connecting the power supply.

Cleaning: The food hopper can be lifted for easy cleaning, and the bowl can be removed.

Operation

1. Power on the Feeder

Unbox the feeder. Connect the Micro USB cable to the power input port at the bottom of the feeder, and then connect the AC adapter to a wall outlet.

2. Bowl Mounting

Slide the bowl into the feeder's outlet until it is securely in place.

3. Lid Releasing

Press the release key to open the lid of the food hopper.

4. Fill Hopper with Food

Pour the appropriate dry pet food into the food hopper and fill it.

5. Close the Lid

Press down on the lid to close it securely.

6. Manual Feeding

Press the manual feed button to dispense food instantly. The default quantity is one portion, which can be customized via the Kogan SmarterHome app.

Install the Application

LED Status Indicators

Download and Register

Download the "Kogan SmarterHome" app from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS).

If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome account, register or sign in using a verification code sent via SMS.

To Register:

1. Tap to access the registration page.
2. The system may automatically detect your country/area, or you can select your country code manually. Enter your mobile phone number or email address and tap "Next".
3. If you used a mobile phone number, enter the verification code sent via SMS. Set a password as prompted and press "Confirm" to complete registration.

Add Device Through Network

1. Power on the SmarterHome device. Ensure the Wi-Fi indicator is blinking. If not, long-press the manual feed button to reset the device.
2. Open the Kogan SmarterHome app and tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner to add a new device.
3. Confirm that the device's indicator light is blinking and tap "Ensure indicator light is blinking".
4. Connect to your Wi-Fi network (ensure it is a 2.4GHz band) and return to the SmarterHome app.
5. Tap "Continue". Your mobile phone will display a QR code. Hold the feeder 20 to 30 cm in front of the mobile phone camera to scan the QR code.
6. Tap "I Heard a Prompt" when you hear an audio notification from the feeder. The device will begin the pairing process and connect to the app.
7. After successful configuration, the device will appear on the home page. Tap it to access its control page.

Note: The feeder can be controlled when online. When offline, it will display "Offline" and cannot be powered on remotely. The feeder requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network; it does not support 5GHz networks.
