Assembly Instructions

1. Set Up the Stroller Frame

Unlock: Release the fold latch by pulling it outward (Fig. 1a). Unfold the stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle until the frame locks (Fig. 1b).

2. Front Wheel Installation

If assembly is required, insert the front wheel peg into the front stroller hub. Align the release pin with the notch. Push the wheel in firmly until it clicks into position (Fig. 2a).

3. Rear Axle Assembly

Remove the pin and one washer from both ends of the rear axle (Fig. 3a). Get the cross bar through the rear wheel and insert the second washer (Fig. 3c). Place the pin horizontally into the hole of the axle bar and rotate it into a vertical position (Fig. 3d). Align the tabs on the cap with the wheel holes. Push the cap into the wheel to close the axle assembly, pressing firmly with your palm until it clicks completely (Fig. 3e). Place the rear legs over the axle with wheels and apply downward pressure on both sides until they lock into place (Fig. 3f). Pull on the front and rear wheels to ensure they are securely attached.

4. Rear Brakes

Engage and Release: Press down the brake levers to engage. Lift up on the brake levers to release. The stroller may require forward or rearward movement to engage the brake. Check that brakes are properly applied (Fig. 4).

WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. Never leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline.

5. Mobile Phone Positioning Parent Tray

WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 lb (1.36 kg) in the parent tray, as this can cause serious burns or unstable conditions.

Attaching the Tray:

  1. Face the tray with the prominent arch towards the canopy. Locate the three canopy straps and the seat strap (Fig. 5a).
  2. Flip the tray over with slots facing the seat and canopy. Thread the middle canopy strap through its slot, then the middle seat strap through its slot (Fig. 5b).
  3. Insert the remaining straps into the tray slots (Fig. 5c).
  4. Pull each strap back to catch the hole in its corresponding tray tab (Fig. 5d).
  5. Flip the tray over and align its tabs with the inner tabs on the stroller sides. Press down firmly until both tabs click into position (Fig. 5e). Ensure all fabric panels are attached to their corresponding tabs (Fig. 5f).

To Secure Canopy: Hook elastic strap fasteners on each side of the stroller frame (Fig. 5g).

6. Canopy

Pull the canopy edge forward or backward to open and close (Fig. 6a). Fold the canopy visor out for shade or inward when not in use (Fig. 6b). To remove the rear canopy, repeat the steps to undo the canopy, then press both snap buttons of the rear canopy to remove (Fig. 6c).

7. Child Tray

WARNING: The child tray is not a restraint device; always secure your child with the seat harness. Do not lift the stroller by the child tray. Be careful when securing the front tray with a child in the stroller. Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds (1.36 kg) in the child tray, as this could cause burns or instability.

To Attach Child Tray: Push the tray downward into the connectors (Fig. 7a) until it latches securely.

To Access Child Seat: Push one release and lift the tray simultaneously (Fig. 7b). Either side of the tray will lift and rotate out of the way.

To Remove Child Tray: Push to release both ends and lift the tray simultaneously (Fig. 7c).

8. Storage Basket

Secure and Access: Check straps if unattached; ensure all snap closures are attached correctly (Fig. 8a). Access the storage basket from the rear side (Fig. 8b).

9. Securing the Seat Fabric

Check Attachments: If unattached, feed the rear recline clip and seat fabric through the appropriate stroller frame brackets and slots (Fig. 9a). Ensure safety straps underneath the rear seat are secured through the appropriate slots (Fig. 9b).

10. Securing the Child

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: A child can strangle in a loose safety harness. Never leave a child in the seat if the harness is loose or undone.

5-Point Harness:

  • Shoulder straps have multiple positions. Select a position where the shoulder strap is level with or below the top of the child's shoulder (Fig. 10a).
  • To secure the child, place the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male ends of the shoulder/waist belts into the crotch strap buckle. Tighten all buckles for a proper fit (Fig. 10b).
  • To adjust harness height upwards: Pull the strap in a hoop shape through the slot (Fig. 10c).
  • To adjust harness height downwards: Thread the clip back into the slot and pull it out through the desired lower level (Fig. 10d).
  • RELEASE: Push the button on the center clasp to release the harness buckles (Fig. 10e).

Flip out the pouch by squeezing the adjustment buckle and pulling the strap down (Fig. 12a). Use the toggle to loosen and tighten the pouch (Fig. 12b). To compress and close, tighten the pouch with the toggle (Fig. 12c). Close the pouch by squeezing the tabs and pulling the adjustment buckle up (Fig. 12d). Always close and secure the pouch when not in use.

13. Seatback Positioning

Recline and Upright Adjustment:

  • To Recline: Open the adjustment strap cover on the right side of the frame. Loosen the strap to the desired position and close the cover.
  • To Place Upright: Open the cover, pull the adjustment strap to tighten, and close the cover (Fig. 13).

The upright position is for children at least 6 months old. Always readjust the safety harness, including shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.

14. The Infant Car Seat

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the Infant Car Seat harness.

ATTENTION: CS01 EZ-Lift, CS02 EZ-Lift PLUS, and CS03 EZ-Lift PRO Infant Car Seats must attach to the stroller's front seat module. These models require the child tray and seat back to be adjusted to the most reclined position.

Align the car seat module with the inner frame connectors. Rest the car seat's lower rear against the angle point of the tray. Latch the module into the stroller frame, pressing firmly until it clicks. ALWAYS ensure the car seat is properly connected and locked by lifting the car seat handle (Fig. 14a). Always use the short clip to secure the car seat (Fig. 14b). Refer to step 13 for seat position adjustments.

Removing the Car Seat:

  • Set the handle to the carry position (Fig. 14c).
  • Squeeze the release handle at the top-rear of the car seat and lift away from the stroller (Fig. 14d).

15. To Fold Stroller

WARNING: Exercise care when folding and unfolding to prevent finger entrapment and damage. Remove all accessories, phones, diaper bags, or purses before folding. Failure to do so may damage the stroller or items. Baby Trend® is not liable for damage.

CAUTION: Keep children away from the stroller while folding.

Folding Procedure:

  • Before folding, ensure the storage pouch is closed and compressed (refer to step 12d) (Fig. 15a).
  • Ensure the backrest is in the most reclined position (refer to step 13) (Fig. 15b).
  • Locate the strap in the seat pocket. Pull the strap firmly upward with one hand to unlock the frame (Fig. 15c).
  • Holding the strap, lift the stroller frame until it fully closes (Fig. 15d).
  • Compress the stroller and secure with the fold latch (Fig. 15e).
  • Tuck the pull strap back into the seat fabric (Fig. 15f).
