BOYA BY-V Wireless Microphone System

General Information and Warnings

The BOYA BY-V is a lightweight and user-friendly 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system designed for high-quality recordings. It supports connecting one receiver to two transmitters for dual-person recording, making it ideal for content creation, live streaming, vlogging, and mobile journalism. The transmitter features an integrated microphone and a 360-degree rotatable belt clip for flexible positioning. The BY-V system offers various configurations with three types of receivers compatible with smartphones, computers, and cameras via USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm TRS outputs.

How to Use

For BY-V3, BY-V30, BY-V20, BY-V2, BY-V10, BY-V1 Combo Packages:

  1. Transmitters automatically turn on when removed from the charging case and can be attached to clothing via the belt clip.
  2. Connect the BY-V-RXU receiver to a USB-C device or the BY-V-RXD receiver to a Lightning device.
  3. Transmitters and receivers are pre-paired. They will pair automatically once the transmitter is on and the receiver is connected to the device. Indicators will show solid blue upon successful pairing.
  4. Launch a video or audio recording app on your device.
  5. Some phones may default to their internal microphone; switch to the external BY-V microphone if necessary.
  6. You are now ready to record.

For BY-V35 (for cameras):

  1. Transmitters and the BY-V-RX receiver turn on automatically when removed from the charging case.
  2. Transmitters and receiver are pre-paired. They will pair automatically once the transmitter is on and the receiver is connected to the device. Indicators will show solid blue upon successful pairing.
  3. Position the transmitter(s) on clothing using the belt clip.
  4. Using the Receiver:
    • With a Camera: Connect the 3.5mm TRS output of the receiver to the microphone input of a camera using the provided 3.5mm TRS to TRS audio cable. Refer to the camera's user manual for recording.
    • With a Phone: Connect the receiver to a phone via the USB-C data port using a suitable data cable. Launch a video or audio recording app on your phone to start recording. If the phone defaults to its internal microphone, switch to the external BY-V microphone.

Suggestions:

Note on Wireless Performance: 2.4 GHz signals can be easily attenuated. Avoid obstacles like walls and buildings, and keep away from devices with 2.4 GHz signals such as high-power Wi-Fi antennas and radios.
