Initial Setup
Step 1: Remove Handle
Release the two screws (marked 1a) on the lid using the provided flat-head screwdriver (B) and carefully remove the handle (1).
Step 2: Access Lamp Interior
Lift off the lid (2) and carefully remove all packing material from inside the lamp, including the bulb box.
Step 3: Install Bulb
Remove the bulb from its box and carefully screw it into the lampholder coil by turning the bulb clockwise. Ensure the bulb is aligned properly and do not overtighten. The glass enclosure can be removed after initial installation for easier access to the bulb and lampholder coil.
Step 4: Secure Bulb Contact
Ensure the bulb is screwed in fully and that contact is made between the base of the bulb and the housing, without overtightening. Both the bulb and housing are safe to touch.
Important Note on Tightening: Over-tightening or under-tightening the bulb can cause misalignment. If this occurs, make small adjustments until the bulb is straight and just touching the contact point.
Step 5: Reassemble Lid and Handle
Return the lid and handle to their original positions and tighten the screws to secure the handle in place.
Step 6: Power On and Adjust Brightness
To turn on the lamp, rotate the dimmer dial on the front of the lamp clockwise until the bulb lights up. Adjust the dimmer for your desired light output: dial up for a cooler white light, and dial down for a warmer, ambient colour temperature.

Option 1: Wired Charging
Insert the provided USB Type-C charging cable into the input port located at the back of the luminaire base and plug it into a USB Type-A adapter. For optimal charging, use the supplied 0.5m charging cable and a 2-Amp USB Type-A adapter.

Tips to Prolong Battery Life
The Muse uses a Lithium-ion battery pack rated for 1000 full charge/discharge cycles. After this period, the battery capacity may begin to noticeably degrade.
- Once fully charged, please remove the lamp from the charger.
- Avoid allowing the battery to reach 0%. Recharge when the low-battery indicator begins to blink.
- When the lamp is not in use, store it with a battery charge between 25-50% (indicated by 1-2 lights).
- During charging, ensure The Muse is uncovered to prevent over-heating.
- Depending on the charger's power output, the lamp may not always reach 100% charge if the bulb is illuminated at the same time.
Care and Cleaning
We recommend cleaning the lamp with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, further cleaning can be achieved with warm, soapy water. Do not use abrasive materials, alcohol, or other solvents, as these can damage the product's finish.
Extended use in wet or humid locations can cause condensation to form inside the glass tube. To address this, please follow the 'Initial Set-Up' steps to open the lid and allow condensation to evaporate. To prevent condensation, it is recommended that the lamp is not exposed to wet weather for prolonged periods, such as being left outdoors overnight.
Warranty and After-Care
This product comes with a two-year warranty. If you encounter a functional defect with the product during this period, please contact our customer service team at customerservice@tala.co.uk.
