ZOSI 4-in-1 Security Camera Day/Night
Instruction Manual
Version: V2.C.06.Z
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this CCTV camera from ZOSI. This camera operates in almost all light conditions, from bright daylight to pitch darkness. It is sensitive to light and can create an image using even a tiny amount of light. In low light, the image appears in black and white. In total darkness or near-total darkness, the camera uses built-in infrared LEDs to illuminate the area. This light is invisible to the human eye, though a faint red glow from the front of the camera is normal. In day or well-lit environments, the IR Cut Filter feature filters out useless light wavelengths to provide a clear color image.
Important note: All jurisdictions have specific laws and regulations relating to the use of cameras. Before using any camera, the buyer is responsible for being aware of and complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
Warning: Modifications not approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Important safety instructions:
- Make sure the product is installed correctly and fastened stably.
- Do not operate it if wires and terminals are exposed.
Choosing a Location for this Camera
Camera placement is pivotal for optimal effect. Consider the distance between the camera and its subject to ensure a good view of the areas in focus. Think about appropriate mounting places, such as under the eaves of a roof, which offer protection and are less likely to be targets for vandals or affected by constant light reflections from moving vehicles that could cause falsely triggered motion detection. Numerous factors should be considered when choosing a location, not just where you want to monitor.
To mount the camera
Place the camera in the desired location and mark screw holes on the surface. Use proper screws for the surface to fix the camera stably. If mounting on a wooden surface, screw directly. For masonry surfaces (bricks, concrete, or similar), use the included wall plugs.
Mounting the Camera
The camera can be mounted onto a flat, vertical surface using screws. The surface must have sufficient strength to hold the camera. Materials like hardwood, brick, or masonry are good options. For mounting onto a metal surface, you will need to supply your own mounting hardware.
Position the Cables
- When setting your cable, try to avoid winding it on objects with sharp angles.
- Do not place your cable close to live electrical wiring, as AC electricity can generate radio "noise" which may interfere with the camera's signal.
- All wiring and connectors must be suitably insulated and protected from moisture and sunlight, as they are not weather resistant.
