ZOSI PoE NVR Quick Start Guide
A guide to setting up and operating your ZOSI PoE NVR system.

1. What's in the box
- NVR: Network Video Recorder unit.
- NVR Power Adapter: Power supply for the NVR.
- USB Mouse: For system navigation.
- 3ft(1m) Ethernet Cable: For network connection.

2. Introduce the NVR
The ZOSI PoE NVR (Network Video Recorder) is the central unit for your surveillance system.
NVR Ports and Controls:
- Front Panel: Typically includes USB ports for mouse/storage.
- Back Panel: Features a Power Switch, Power Port (DC 48-52V), 16 PoE Interface ports (RJ45) for connecting cameras, a LAN Port (RJ45) for network connection to a router, Audio Output (RCA), an HDMI Port for monitor connection, and a VGA Port for monitor connection.
Note: The actual appearance and components may vary with different products.
3. Connecting the System
Follow these steps to connect your NVR system:
- Connect cameras to the PoE NVR using Ethernet Cables (60ft/18.3m).
- Connect the PoE NVR to your router using a 3ft(1m) Ethernet Cable.
- Connect the PoE NVR to a monitor using a VGA or HDMI Cable.
- Connect the USB Mouse to a USB 2.0 Port on the NVR.
- Connect the PoE NVR to a power outlet.
- Turn on the power switch on the NVR.
- The monitor will display the live view of the camera.
Note: To ensure proper device function, it is recommended to power on the PoE NVR first for testing before final installation.
4. Access the System via Smartphone or PC
4.1. Smartphone Access
Search for "ZOSI Smart" in your device's app store. Download, install the app, and follow the on-screen instructions to register an account.
App Download & Operation:
- ZOSI Smart App Icon: A red square with a white stylized house symbol.
- App (iOS/Android): QR code for downloading the ZOSI Smart application.
- App video operation link: QR code providing a link to operation videos.
4.2. PC Access

5. Set up the NVR System
5.1. Mouse Operation
The mouse is used for navigating the NVR interface:
- Left Button:
- In Preview or Playback Interface: Double-click a single channel to enter full screen, and double-click again to exit full screen.
- In Navigation Menu: Click to select a menu option.
- Right Button:
- On the preview interface: Click to bring up the main menu.
- In Navigation Menu: Click to exit the menu or return to the previous menu option.
5.2. Introduce the Menu Bar
Right-click anywhere on the screen to open the menu bar. Common options include:
- Single: Select a single channel for live viewing.
- Multi: Select multiple channels for live viewing.
- Start Scan: Start or stop scanning channels.
- Colour: Adjust color and image settings.
- E-Zoom: Zoom into the preview interface.
- Audio: Adjust the camera volume.
- Snap: Capture and save live view images.
- Stop Record: Start or stop recording.
- Playback: Search and play back video recordings.
- Intelligent Alarm: Set up Human Detection and Siren-Light Alarm features.
- IPC Channel Config: Manage IPC (IP camera) channel configuration.
- Main Menu: Access the main system menu.
5.3. System Password
The default username is "admin". The password is initially empty, allowing direct login for first-time users.
5.4. Change Password
To change the password: Navigate via Right-click mouse > Main Menu > Setup > Users > Change Password. The new password must be at least 6 characters long.
5.5. Date & Time Setting
To set the date and time: Navigate via Right-click mouse > Main Menu > Setup > Basic > Date & Time. Select your region's time and click "Apply" to save. The default time zone is GMT.
6. Video Playback
Access video playback by right-clicking the mouse and selecting Playback > Video Playback/Quick Playback.
- Video Playback: Play video clips using time search or event search.
- Quick Playback: Quickly play back the first 30 minutes of video.
Playback Controls:
- Play/Pause: Start or stop video playback.
- Fast Forward: Play video clips at speeds from 1/4x to 16x.
- Rewind: Rewind video clips at speeds of 1x, 8x, 16x, and 32x.
- Multi-screen display: View multiple channels simultaneously.
- Previous Record / Next Record: Navigate between recorded segments.
Screen Modes: Supports Single Channel Playback and Multi-channel Playback. Channels without video playback will display a black screen.
7. Backup
To back up video footage:
- Insert a USB drive into a USB 2.0 port on the PoE NVR.
- Navigate via Right-click mouse > Main Menu > Backup.
- Select the desired channels and time period, then click Search.
- Select the video clips you wish to back up.
- Click "Apply" to start the backup process.
8. Usage Specification
- Use cameras only with compatible ZOSI NVRs.
- Read this guide carefully and keep it for future reference.
- Follow all instructions for safe product use and handling.
- Operate the product within the specified temperature, humidity, and voltage levels.
- Do not disassemble the product.
- Use only a regulated power supply. Using a non-regulated supply may damage the product and void the warranty.
- Periodic cleaning may be required. Use a damp cloth only; avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
- Do not use the product in sealed, humid environments. Installation in a well-ventilated location is recommended.
- Do not disassemble the device while it is powered on.
9. Notification of Compliance
