1. Package Contents

The package includes:

2. Overview

2.1 Buttons and LEDs

The headphones feature controls on the left (L) and right (R) earcups. These include power, volume (+/-), Ambient Aware button, and Bluetooth pairing functionality.

2.2 Connections

The earcups have a 2.5mm audio jack for wired connections and a Micro USB port for charging.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

3.1 Turn On the Headphone

To power on the headphones, slide the power switch. The LED indicator will show the power status.

3.2 First-time Pairing

When connecting for the first time, the headphones will automatically enter pairing mode after being powered on.

3.3 Connect to Bluetooth Devices

On your device (e.g., smartphone), navigate to Bluetooth settings and select "AKG Y500 WIRELESS" to establish a connection.

Note: The headphones will power off automatically if no activity or playback occurs for 30 minutes.

4. Buttons Functionality

4.1 Music Control

Use the slide controls on the earcup: slide up or down to skip tracks, and press the center button to play/pause music or answer/end calls.

4.2 Phone Call

Manage phone calls by using the multi-function button on the earcup. Press once to answer or end a call, and press and hold to reject an incoming call.

4.3 Ambient Aware

Activate the Ambient Aware feature to stay aware of your surroundings while listening to music. This allows you to hear ambient sounds without removing the headphones.

4.5 Voice Assistant

Press the multi-function button twice to activate your device's voice assistant, such as Siri® or Google Now™.

5. Seamlessly Switch Between Devices

Pair and connect the headphones with your first device, then pair and connect with a second Bluetooth device. The headphones can connect to up to two devices simultaneously.

Important Notes:

A maximum of 2 devices can be connected simultaneously.
Phone calls will always take priority over music playback.
If one device goes out of Bluetooth range or powers off, you may need to manually reconnect the remaining device.

6. Auto-Play/Pause

To activate or deactivate the Auto-Play/Pause function, press and hold the two specified buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

Note: The Auto-Play/Pause function is active by default when the headphones are powered on.

7. LED Behaviour

The LED indicators provide information on the headphone's status:

Power On: Solid light.
Power Off: Light turns off.
Bluetooth Pairing: Flashing blue light.
Bluetooth Connected: Solid blue light.
Ambient Aware On: Solid blue light.
Low Battery: Flashing red light.
Charging Complete: Solid red light turns off.
Charging in Progress: Solid red light.
