About the System
Indoor Unit
NOTICE: Do not use the system for purposes other than its intended use. Avoid using the unit for cooling precision instruments, food, plants, animals, or works of art, as this may lead to quality deterioration.
CAUTION: Do not insert fingers, rods, or other objects into the air inlet or outlet. The rotating fan can cause injury.
INFORMATION: The sound pressure level is less than 70 dBA.
WARNING: Do not modify, disassemble, remove, reinstall, or repair the unit yourself. Incorrect installation or dismantling can cause electrical shock or fire. Contact your dealer for service.
WARNING: In case of accidental refrigerant leaks, ensure there are no open flames. Refrigerant is non-toxic and mildly flammable, but can generate toxic gas if it leaks into a room with combustible air from heaters or cookers. Always have qualified service personnel confirm that the leak has been repaired before resuming operation.
Indoor Unit Display
The indoor unit display shows the following indicators:
- a Signal receiver: Receives signals from the remote control.
- b Operation lamp: Indicates the operating status.
- c Timer lamp: Indicates timer status.
- d ON/OFF button: Used to start/stop operation manually. When used, the operation mode defaults to Automatic, temperature to 25°C, and airflow rate to Automatic.
Wireless Remote Control
INFORMATION: The indoor unit is supplied with a wireless remote control as the user interface. This manual describes operation using this interface. If another user interface is connected, refer to its operation manual.
- Direct sunlight: Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight.
- Dust: Dust on the signal transmitter or receiver can reduce sensitivity. Wipe with a soft cloth.
- Fluorescent lights: Signal communication may be affected by fluorescent lamps. Contact your installer if this occurs.
- Other appliances: If the remote control signals operate other appliances, move them or contact your installer.
- Curtains: Ensure curtains or other objects do not block the signal between the unit and the remote control.
NOTICE: Do not drop the wireless remote control. Do not let the wireless remote control get wet.

Before Operation
To Insert the Batteries
The batteries typically last for about 1 year.
- Remove the back cover.
- Insert both batteries at once.
- Replace the cover.
To Mount the Wireless Remote Control Holder
- Choose a location where signals can reach the unit.
- Attach the holder to the wall or a similar location using screws.
- Hang the wireless remote control on the holder.
To Turn on the Power Supply
- Turn the circuit breaker on.
Result: The indoor unit's flap will open and close to set the reference position.
Operation
Operation Range
Use the system within the following temperature and humidity ranges for safe and effective operation:

(a) A safety device may stop operation if the system runs outside its operation range.
(b) Condensation and water dripping may occur if the unit runs outside its operation range.
Operation Mode and Temperature Setpoint
Adjust the system operation mode and set the temperature when you want to:
- Heat up or cool down a room
- Blow air in a room without heating or cooling
- Decrease the humidity in a room
The system operates differently based on user selection.
To Start/Stop Operation Mode and Set the Temperature
- Start operation by pressing one of the following buttons: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, or FAN ONLY. The operation lamp will light up.
- Press the TEMP ▲ or ▼ buttons to set the temperature. Temperature adjustment is not available in Drying or Fan Only modes.
- Press the ON/OFF button to stop operation. The operation lamp will turn off.
Airflow Rate
Press the FAN button to choose the airflow rate:
- A: Airflow rate levels, from 1 to 5.
- AUTO: Automatic airflow rate operation.
- Quiet operation: When the airflow rate is set to 1, the noise from the unit is reduced.
INFORMATION: If the unit reaches the set temperature in cooling or heating mode, the fan may stop operating. In drying mode, you cannot adjust the airflow rate.
To Adjust the Airflow Rate
- Press the FAN button to cycle through the airflow settings.
Airflow Direction
Adjust the airflow direction as desired. The system moves horizontal blades (flaps) or vertical blades (louvers) for different airflow patterns:
- Vertical automatic swing: Moves up and down.
- Horizontal automatic swing: Moves from side to side.
- 3-D airflow direction: Moves alternately up/down and side to side.
- Fixed position: Stays in a fixed position.
CAUTION: Always use the remote control or other user interface to adjust flap and louver positions. Forcibly moving them by hand can break the mechanism.
The movable range of the flap varies by operation mode. The flap may stop at the upper position if the airflow rate is changed to low during up/down swing.
To Adjust Vertical Airflow Direction
- Press the SWING button. The flaps (horizontal blades) will swing.
- To set a fixed position, press SWING again when the flaps reach the desired position. The flaps will stop moving.
To Adjust Horizontal Airflow Direction
- Press the SWING button. The louvers (vertical blades) will swing.
- To set a fixed position, press SWING again when the louvers reach the desired position. The louvers will stop moving.
INFORMATION: If the unit is installed in a corner, direct the louvers away from the wall to prevent reduced efficiency.
To Use 3D Airflow Direction
- Press the SWING button multiple times. The flaps (horizontal blades) and louvers (vertical blades) will swing.
- To set a fixed position, press SWING again when the flaps and louvers reach the desired position. They will stop moving.
Comfort Airflow Operation
This operation provides a comfortable airflow that does not directly contact people. The system automatically sets the airflow position upward in Cooling mode and downward in Heating mode.
INFORMATION: Powerful and Comfort airflow operations cannot be used simultaneously. The last selected function takes priority. If vertical automatic swing is selected, Comfort airflow operation is cancelled. Comfort airflow operation is not available in Fan Only mode.
To Start/Stop Comfort Airflow Operation
- Press the COMFORT button to start. The flap position will change, and the airflow rate will be set to automatic.
- Press the COMFORT button again to stop. The flap will return to its previous position.
Powerful Operation
This operation maximizes cooling or heating effect for a short period. You can get maximum capacity.
INFORMATION: Powerful operation cannot be used with Econo and Comfort airflow operations. The last selected function takes priority. Powerful operation will not increase capacity if the unit is already operating at maximum capacity.
To Start/Stop Powerful Operation
- Press the POWERFUL button to start. Powerful operation runs for 20 minutes, then returns to the previously set mode.
- Press the POWERFUL button again to stop.
Note: Powerful operation can only be set when the unit is running. It will be cancelled if the unit is turned off or the operation mode is changed.
Energy Saving and Optimum Operation
Econo Operation
This function limits the maximum power consumption, useful when circuit breakers might trip due to multiple appliances running simultaneously.
INFORMATION: Powerful and Econo operations cannot be used together. Econo operation reduces outdoor unit power consumption by limiting compressor speed. It may not further reduce consumption if the power consumption is already low.
To Start/Stop Econo Operation
- Press the ECONO button to start. The display will show ECONO.
- Press the ECONO button again to stop. The ECONO indicator will disappear.
OFF/ON Timer Operation
Timer functions allow automatic switching of the air conditioner off or on at set times.
To Start/Stop OFF Timer Operation
Use this feature to stop operation after a set time.
- Press the OFF TIMER button. The display will show OFF HR. and the timer lamp will light up.
- Press the OFF TIMER button again to adjust the time setting. Each press advances the time by 1 hour, up to 12 hours.
- Press the CANCEL button to cancel the setting. The OFF timer display and timer lamp will disappear.
INFORMATION: Night Set Mode automatically adjusts the temperature (0.5°C up in cooling, 2.0°C down in heating) to prevent excessive cooling/heating and ensure a comfortable sleeping temperature.
To Start/Stop ON Timer Operation
Use this feature to start operation after a set time when the unit is not operating.
- Press the ON TIMER button. The display will show ON HR. and the timer lamp will light up.
- Press the ON TIMER button again to adjust the time setting. Each press advances the time by 1 hour, up to 12 hours.
- Press the CANCEL button to cancel the setting. The ON timer display and timer lamp will disappear.
To Combine OFF Timer and ON Timer
Refer to the instructions for setting the OFF timer and ON timer individually.
Result: Both OFF and ON indicators will be displayed on the LCD.
INFORMATION: Even when the unit is turned OFF, it consumes a small amount of electricity. When power is restored after an outage, the unit will resume its previous settings.
CAUTION: Never expose children, plants, or animals directly to the airflow.
NOTICE: Do not place objects below the indoor or outdoor unit that may become wet due to condensation. This could cause dripping and damage to the objects.
WARNING: Do not place flammable spray bottles near the air conditioner or use sprays near the unit, as this could cause a fire.
CAUTION: Do not operate the system with fumigation-type insecticides, as chemicals could collect in the unit and pose a health risk.
Maintenance and Service
Overview: Maintenance and Service
The installer should perform yearly maintenance. Daikin recommends performing maintenance at least once a year, though legislation may require shorter intervals.
About the Refrigerant
This product contains fluorinated greenhouse gases (Refrigerant type: R32, GWP value: 675). Do not vent gases into the atmosphere.
NOTICE: Applicable legislation requires the refrigerant charge to be indicated in weight and CO2 equivalent. Formula: GWP value × total refrigerant charge [kg] / 1000. Contact your installer for details.
WARNING: Refrigerant is mildly flammable. Leaks are rare but can ignite if exposed to fire from burners, heaters, or cookers, potentially forming harmful gas. Turn off heating devices, ventilate the room, and contact your dealer. Do not use the unit until a service person confirms the leak has been repaired.
WARNING: Do not pierce or burn refrigerant cycle parts. Do not use cleaning agents to accelerate defrosting other than those recommended by the manufacturer. Refrigerant is odorless.
WARNING: Store the appliance in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (open flames, gas appliances, electric heaters).
NOTICE: Maintenance must be performed by an authorized installer or service agent.
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION: Before cleaning, stop operation and turn off all power supplies. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock or injury.
To Clean the Indoor Unit and Wireless Remote Control
NOTICE: Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, polishing powder, or liquid insecticide, as this can cause discoloration and deformation. Do not use water at 40°C or higher. Do not use polishing compounds or scrubbing brushes, as this can peel the surface finish. Only qualified service personnel should clean inside parts of the unit.
- Clean with a soft cloth. If stains are difficult to remove, use water or a neutral detergent.
To Clean the Front Panel
- Clean the front panel with a soft cloth. If stains are difficult to remove, use water or a neutral detergent.
About the Air Filters
Operating the unit with dirty filters impairs deodorization, air cleaning, heating/cooling efficiency, and can cause odors.
To Open the Front Panel
- Hold the front panel by the tabs on both sides and open it.
To Clean the Air Filters
- Push the tab at the center of each air filter and pull it down.
- Pull out the air filters.
- Remove the titanium apatite deodorizing filter and silver particle filter from their tabs.
- Wash the air filters with water or clean them with a vacuum cleaner.
- Soak in lukewarm water for about 10 to 15 minutes.
INFORMATION: If dust is difficult to remove, wash the air filters with a neutral detergent diluted in lukewarm water. Dry the filters in the shade. Be sure to remove the titanium apatite deodorizing and silver particle filters. It is recommended to clean the air filters every 2 weeks.
To Clean the Titanium Apatite Deodorizing Filter and the Silver Particle Filter (Ag-ion Filter)
INFORMATION: Clean these filters with water every 6 months.
- Remove the titanium apatite deodorizing and silver particle filters from their tabs.
- Remove dust from the filter with a vacuum cleaner.
- Soak the filter for 10 to 15 minutes in warm water. Do not remove the filter from the frame.
- After washing, shake off excess water and dry the filter in the shade. Do not wring out the filter.
To Replace the Titanium Apatite Deodorizing Filter and the Silver Particle Filter (Ag-ion Filter)
INFORMATION: Replace these filters every 3 years.
- Remove the filter from the tabs of the filter frame and replace it with a new one.
- Install all filters back in their original positions.
To Close the Front Panel
- Set the filters as they were.
- Gently press the front panel at both sides and the center until it clicks.
To Take Following Items into Account Before a Long Idle Period
- Set the mode to fan only using the FAN ONLY button to dry the inside of the unit.
- After operation stops, turn the breaker OFF.
- Clean the air filters and replace them in their original positions.
- Remove the batteries from the wireless remote control.
INFORMATION: Periodic maintenance by a specialist is recommended. Contact your dealer for maintenance costs. In certain conditions, the unit's interior may get dirty after several seasons, leading to poor performance.
Troubleshooting
If the system does not operate properly and the malfunctions below are not evident, investigate the system according to the following procedures.

If you cannot fix the problem yourself after checking all items, contact your installer. Provide symptoms, the complete model name, manufacturing number (if available), and installation date.
Malfunctions and Measures

Disposal
NOTICE: Do not attempt to dismantle the system yourself. The treatment of the refrigerant, oil, and other parts must comply with applicable legislation. Units must be treated at a specialized facility for reuse, recycling, and recovery.
