Tandem Mobi System: Update Pump Software
These instructions will guide users through the process of remotely updating their Tandem Mobi system to access new features.
Step 1: Navigate to Pump Settings
From the main navigation bar, tap Settings, then tap Pump.
? Note: The system employs device authentication to ensure data security and patient confidentiality.

Step 2: Initiate Software Update Check
Tap Pump Software Update. The system will then display a 'Checking Eligibility' screen to confirm if an update is available.

Step 3: Access Tandem Source or Proceed
If you have completed the required preliminary steps (such as visiting the Tandem Source Platform and completing training), you can proceed. Otherwise, tap Go to Tandem Source to complete these initial requirements.

Step 4: Download the Software Update
Tap the Download button. The mobile application will commence downloading the software update for the pump.

Step 5: Continue After Download
Once the download is finished, tap Next to proceed.

Step 6: Acknowledge Safety Guidance
Tap the circular acknowledgment icons (●) next to each safety step to confirm you have read and understood the guidance. Then, tap Next.

Step 7: Stop Insulin Delivery
A 'Stop Insulin Delivery' screen will appear. To follow the guidance, navigate to Actions from the navigation bar and then tap Stop Insulin.

Step 8: Confirm Insulin Stop
Tap Yes to confirm that all insulin deliveries will be stopped.
⚠️ Warning: Disconnect the infusion set from the user's body before proceeding.

Step 9: Return to Update Process
From the navigation bar, tap Settings to return to the software update process.

Step 10: Install and Restart
Tap Next to continue. On the subsequent screen, tap Install, and then tap Install & Restart.

Step 11: Begin Update Process
The software update will commence. Ensure your pump remains next to your smartphone throughout this process, which may take several minutes.

Step 12: Complete Update
Once the software update is successfully completed, tap Dismiss.

? Note: The insulin cartridge will need to be reset before insulin delivery can resume. You can tap 'Load Cartridge' on the screen to do this now, or tap 'Go to Dashboard' to do it later.
? Pump Tip: If an active CGM sensor session was running before the update, it will need to be resumed after the update is complete.

Indications for Use: Tandem Mobi system: The Tandem Mobi insulin pump with interoperable technology is intended for the subcutaneous delivery of insulin, at set and variable rates, for the management of diabetes mellitus in persons requiring insulin. The pump can reliably and securely communicate with compatible, digitally connected devices, including automated insulin dosing software, to receive, execute, and confirm commands. The pump is intended for single patient, home use and requires a prescription. It is indicated for use in individuals 6 years of age and greater.
Warning: Do not use the Tandem Mobi insulin pump without consulting your healthcare provider. Incorrect settings may lead to over-delivery of insulin (causing hypoglycemia) or under-delivery of insulin (causing hyperglycemia). The Tandem Source platform is designed for individuals with diabetes mellitus who use Tandem Diabetes Care insulin pumps, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. It supports diabetes management by displaying and analyzing information uploaded from Tandem insulin pumps.
