Warnings
- Place the DJI Flip™ Parallel Charging Hub on a flat, stable surface with good ventilation when charging an external device or accumulating power. Ensure proper insulation to prevent fire hazards.
- DO NOT touch the metal terminals on the battery ports. Clean them with a clean, dry cloth if there is any buildup.
- Charge batteries with low power promptly. It is recommended to store batteries in the charging hub. The hub automatically checks battery power every seven days and will charge a low-power battery (0%) from a high-power battery until it reaches 5% to prevent over-discharging.
Usage
Charging Intelligent Flight Batteries
1. Insert Intelligent Flight Batteries into the charging hub. Align the battery's protrusion with the hub's groove and press until it clicks. (See Figure A1: Diagram showing the correct insertion of an Intelligent Flight Battery into the charging hub, aligning the battery's protrusion with the hub's groove and pressing until a click is heard.)
2. Connect the charging hub to a power outlet using a USB-C charger. Status LEDs indicate battery status during charging. Refer to the Status LEDs Descriptions for blinking patterns. Charging sequence varies with different charger power ratings:
| Charger Power | Charging Sequence |
|---|---|
| <65 W | Charges in sequence from highest to lowest battery level. |
| ≥65 W | Charges two batteries simultaneously: First charges the battery with the second highest battery level until it matches the highest charge level, then fully charges both batteries together. |
3. Batteries can be stored in the charging hub after charging. Remove a battery for use. (See Figure A2: Diagram showing batteries stored in the charging hub.)
Using the Charging Hub as a Power Bank
1. Insert Intelligent Flight Batteries into the charging hub. Connect an external device (e.g., smartphone, remote controller) to the USB-C port and press and hold the function button for three seconds. (See Figure B: Diagram illustrating the connection of an external device to the charging hub's USB-C port, and pressing the function button.)
2. Batteries discharge from lowest to highest power level, supplying power to the external device. To stop charging, disconnect the external device.
- If a battery's remaining power is below 7%, it cannot charge an external device.
- Reconnect the USB-C cable to switch back to charging Intelligent Flight Batteries.
Power Accumulation
1. Insert Intelligent Flight Batteries into the charging hub. Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds to transfer power from lower-level batteries to the highest-level battery. Status LEDs for lower-level batteries show current power; higher-level battery LEDs blink sequentially. (See Figure C: Diagram depicting the power accumulation process where power is transferred from lower-level batteries to the highest-level battery, indicated by status LEDs.)
2. To stop power accumulation, press and hold the function button for 3 seconds again. After stopping, press the function button to check battery levels.
- Power accumulation stops automatically if:
- The receiving battery is fully charged, or the output battery's power is below 10%.
- A charger or external device is connected, or a battery is inserted/removed during accumulation.
- Power accumulation is interrupted for over 15 minutes due to abnormal battery temperature.
After accumulating power, charge the lowest-level battery as soon as possible to avoid over-discharge.
Checking Battery Level
After inserting batteries, press the function button once. Status LEDs will display battery levels. Refer to the descriptions below.
Status LEDs Descriptions
Each battery port has a corresponding status LED array indicating charging status, battery level, and abnormal status. Descriptions for battery level and abnormal status match those on DJI aircraft. Refer to the aircraft's user manual for details.
Charging Status
| Status LEDs | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Blink quickly successively | Battery is charging using a USB PD charger. |
| Blink slowly successively | Battery is charging using a normal charger. |
| Solid | Battery is fully charged. |
| All status LEDs blink in sequence | No battery is inserted. |
